MTSU Personal Statement

I would love to be a part of Central Michigan's athletic training program. I have a deep love and passion for sports. After High School I would still want to be in the sports field and I also like caring for people which would make Athletic training the field for me. I am currently a captain on my basketball and track team. I make others around me better and take on the role of being a leader. My goal is to graduate and get my degree. After that I envision myself being a strength and conditioning coach or an athletic trainer. I want to be a good athletic trainer at a college or pro level.

I chose NDSU because I feel like I was pretty well acquainted with the campus during my time in high school. Each summer, for FFA, my chapter, along with others from across the state, spent a week here competing in different agricultural competitions. Also, I talked with alumni from this nursing program, and they all said it was set up very well, and also put them on a track to getting a good job afterwards. When I came for a tour earlier this spring, I got to hear a speech from the Dean of nursing, and I just sort of felt like this was the right place. On a side note, I like being here because of the agricultural side of NDSU as well, even if I’m not necessarily going into a field pertaining to it. It seems more like home to me, when the person next to me, going into Vet Tech, rides horse as much as I did.

I am writing this letter to apply at Hendrix College. There are many great qualities about this school that I admire. This college has a quite small teacher to student ratio. The fact that every student who attend this college has some type of financial assistance, including the Hendrix Arkansas Advantage.

I should be selected to attend the FSU CoM Summer Institute because I love learning, enjoy being challenged by hard classes and/or tasks, and I have always had a love for the medical field. I grew up with my mom’s side of the family being in healthcare, her being a doctor in Russia and a nurse in the US and my grandmother worked in a lab. Ever since I was a child, I always wanted to be a veterinarian, but as I grew older my attention turned towards people. I have always been very compassionate and kind towards people and I want to fix everything wrong in the world, which of course can’t be done. I decided that healthcare would be my best option, specifically being a surgeon. With this profession I will be able to help save lives and influence the world in a positive way.

Who we are is a concoction of our life journey, relationships, tastes, goals, and countless other things. I am a family girl from Mexico who is a first generation college student. My family is the greatest part of who I am. They would give and do anything for me and vice versa. Life has brought me to the construction science program at Texas A&M and I could not be more excited to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!

In my highschool career I spent most of my time at the pool as a swim instructor and lifeguard and surprisingly this was what showed me that caring for children was my passion. By working with these kids and learning how to care for them it only gave me more confidence in my decision to become a pediatrician.This and my personal experience with children really opened my eyes to how what I truly wanted to do going into college was right in front of me. I plan to major in Biology and have a minor in Psychology.UNC Wilmington has an excellent Biology program that I would love to take a part of. Going this to university would be a fantastic opportunity because it is known for its diversity, affordability, and highly ranked programs. When I found UNCW I thought It would be a perfect fit for me.

As a transfer student, I want to feel California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) such as my home. Being ambassador, it is the best to learn about my school, share my experiences, motivate other students to work towards their goals, look for help if they need, show other students our school's resources, and make others feel special for being part of CSUF.

The transition from being a child, dependent upon parents for everything, to an independent adult is one of the most stressful times a person will endure. Legally speaking, 18 is the age when you become an adult but the number doesn’t describe the responsibilities and independence you must take on. College is seen as the “big step” into the real world and many people struggle in choosing where to make their transition. I would like to take my “big step” by attending Florida Atlantic University.

After high school, I am going to attend Texas A&M to get an undergraduate degree in public economics and after that I will pursue further education at the Texas A&M Law School. I am going to get a degree in law so that when I graduate I can be a partner in my family's law firm. For the past couple of years I have toyed with the thought of either going to join the marines or being a lawyer but in the end I came to the conclusion that becoming a lawyer was the best bet for me; three generations of my family have done it and I would like to fill their shoes and carry out tradition.

Going to college will be a massive step in my life, even graduating from high school. First off, I plan to major in Accounting and become a Public Certified Accountant. I have been told that it will be hard, just going to class will not cut it. You have to be on top of schoolwork making sure you have it turned in on time and more. I chose K-State University because I could see my future there on campus getting through it all. I thought K-State had the best Business program and so much more. Looking at other colleges wasn’t a bad choice but I couldn’t see myself on their campus as much as I did with K-State. Second, I want to get involved in groups that would be good for me. I do not know all the kinds of groups are on campus but I’m sure I will find out. I hope to start off with

When I think of NYU happiness because it makes me know that students of different cultures and religions can come together as one culture within itself, as an African Muslim woman all you want is to feel like you're part of a community.That's what I love about NYU,I feel you can be with someone else that's not the same as who you are yet you're able to share the same passion or compatibilities with that person.Living in the city area makes it even better because there are vast amount of opportunities that you wouldn't get anywhere else. At NYU they embellish on who you are and how you can contribute to helping the world to become a better place united as one. When I went to the open house ,once I saw the building and atmosphere I could see myself at NYU Tisch. At Tisch I hope to perceive things differently. As a writer it brings me the best of excitement because all I ever wanted to do was write, imagine and act .It takes a lot for a school to be this diverse, social and educated rigorously with great academics and still make people feel like they are welcome as a community.

My choice to attend FIU was one of the easier ones I’ve made so far in my academic career. I was drawn to the university as I felt a sense of community here that has only been further enhanced as a legacy, with both my mother and stepfather having completed their Bachelor degrees at this institution. The relationships and connections my parents were able to build here were a testament to FIU’s ability to bring together people from so many different backgrounds and create a family. I experienced an even greater connection as my stepfather found a lifelong friendship and mentor in an FIU staff member and honored him by making him the godfather of one of my younger brothers. Hello, I am Qwontanney Major, a lover of music, old and current, photography, film, fashion, and food. I am 19 years old, and the second oldest of five children. We were all raised by my mother, and recently reconnected with our father. My family on my mothers’ side comes from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and Port-au-Prince Delmas 36, Haiti, and my family on my fathers’ side comes from Freeport, Bahamas.

A significant moment in my life is the day I had the good fortune of meeting with Temple University, Japan Campus representative, Nathan Crowne at Santa Monica College’s College Fair last year. I was immediately connected to Nathan and his enthusiastic introduction of TUJ. TUJ’s affordability is most remarkable to me because as a low-income student it will support my financial situation and allow for me to pursue my goals to travel the world, become multilingual and become an attorney. Ever since I met with Nathan, TUJ has become my number one choice for transfer. I am writing in hopes that you will favorably consider my application.
