I am proud to send this letter of support for the nomination of Bertram Omar Leon for a national award, as in my opinion, he has devoted himself to sustain and selfless voluntary service. Bertram has been serving his community for over 30 years now in an unassuming, conscientious, methodically and appreciative manner. He also portrays the characteristics and qualities that are admired in our community. He goes out of her way to help people in need by organizing charity activities often at his own expense.
Also, his willingness to take on difficult projects like assisting our own St Lucia Community Healthcare & Ambulance Project to achieve its aims of kitting out the Fire & Ambulances Service on the island with essential patient lifting chairs; the National Committee for St Lucia Hurricane Relief Appeal where he was at the helms, collecting essential items for distribution; his stewardship of the relief effort during the recent Storm disaster in St Lucia; his overall support for his local community and youth development are just some of his many contributions. I am also aware of his desire to promote UK Caribbean diaspora development via his many associations with the Caribbean diaspora communities. He has already successfully influenced the St Lucia government to adopt a Diaspora Policy, which was recently approved, to engage and ensure better inclusion of overseas national in the country’s national development plans. He is regarded as an unofficial ambassador for St
The two defining moments in my scholarly life that define what my character consists of are the months as a coach for the U-9 R.I.S.C. Takers Soccer team as well as my trip to the village of Cuajiniquil, Costa Rica with the National Geographic summer community service program. Both of these instances have taught me valuable life lessons, including my responsibility as a role model for young children, the importance of giving back to our community, and the acceptance of other cultures, practices, and behaviors. This is what make me who I am and a very qualified candidate for the title of National Honor Society Member.
This is a copy of the Volunteer Service Award that I submitted for CPT Roys. Surprising, he was also nominated to receive the Volunteer SVC for the Year however, that never came to fruition.
Please accept this recommendation for Miss. Alana Ingram to become a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. She is an outstanding young woman with a generous spirt who displays her passion for helping others through volunteer efforts both domestically and abroad. (The length of time the member has known the applicant and in what capacity.) I still firmly believe that she will be an wonderful asset to the organization.
Officer Santana was recognized by the Department with a Certificate of Appreciation for his extra participation at PAL. PAL Executive Director recognized certain SRO officers for their participation that went over and beyond the expectation and summer duties.
I would like to nominate Cameron Reginato for the Spirit Award. Cameron has been such a great help to me during this busy time with the CUDL Loans increasing. He has taken several hours out of his time to help me process and keep up with the CUDL Loans. His willingness to help out another department and learn a new process has been such a great help to the Loan Center. He has done an exceptional job and there is no way I could have done this process without his help. Thanks to Cameron’s help we have manage to keep up on the CUDL file and keep the dealers happy.
After receiving the award, I continue to visit the residents at St. Barnabas and share my gifts of music, by playing the piano, flute, and leading group sing-a-longs. I throw myself into my activities and do so with a happy, humble heart. An important quality I possess includes my integrity and respect. I always uphold strong moral integrity and respect those around me. I understand that you must treat others as you would want to be treated, and to be respected, you must do the right thing even when no one is watching. I am a strong leader as I am a person who takes action and gets involved, in order to help others and the team. When I see an opportunity to be supportive and to lend a helping hand, I jump in. I am not a person who sits in the background and waits for someone else to do something. I am a go-getter, who thrives on helping those around me. I am very organized with all of my activities, both academically and socially. I input over 200%. I understand that without a strong work ethic and passion, only the minimal will be accomplished. As Class Secretary for the past four years and as upcoming National Honor Society Peer-Tutoring Coordinator, I remain organized in sending emails, marking attendance, collaborating new ideas and fundraising opportunities, and encouraging others. I am an effective communicator as I understand that each voice matters. I do not speak just to hear my own voice, and I value the thoughts of others. I speak up when I have
t's my great pleasure to recommend Jorge for the Horatio Alger Scholarship, who I got to know as her counselor for the last six years. He is very hard working, determined and motivated to excel. He is very assertive when he expresses his ideas and try to present his points of view showing respect for the other side. His AP World History teacher describes him as a very intelligent young man that constantly shows enthusiastic and his excellent comments in the class reflect his involvement in the discussion. He has excellent leadership skills. This year he was elected the Youth Ministry Club president,
As many of you know, this October the Hispanic Scholarship Fund will be announcing this year’s inductee to their noteworthy Alumni Hall of Fame. Founded over 70 years ago, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund has done exceedingly well to provide the bright, young Latino scholars of our nation with an opportunity to seek higher education through scholarships and various programs. At the Alumni Hall of Fame Gala we will celebrate three scholarship recipients as well as a single inductee. While each individual being recognized at the Gala has proven to be extraordinary, there is one in particular you should look out for. However, having had such a massive impact in places all over the world, you may have already guessed who this dazzling woman is:
I’ve worked here for 5 years and for my first nomination for the Spirt of Liberty Award, I would like to nominate Leonard Jordan. He is someone that I feel embodies what this award means, which is someone who shows and includes all of the following characteristics but not limited to dedication to caring, being supportive of others, demonstration compassion, and focused on achievement.
Luis Valdez owes it to himself, family, and friends, and also his community to be the best version of strength and positivity, no matter the circumstances we face inequality, race, and
--The students in AP Calculus had to overcome many things to achieve success, while also having their own problems to deal with. Every student in Mr. Escalante’s class had to overcome their own personal problems to succeed. Even Mr. Escalante had problems with his bosses, and getting his students towards success. Angel for example was the bad boy of the school, the misfit. He had his own cronies. He did what he wanted until Mr. Escalante came to his school, he started to change. --Even though Angel was a bad kid at school and out of school, he still had issues going on at home. His grandma was sick and he can’t afford to pay for her medical
overcome fear and there are those people who are not strong enough to overcome their fears. Dr Seward sends a letter to Hon. Arthur Holmwood. “I took advantage of the opportunity and told her my old master, Van Helsing, the great specialist, was coming to stay with me that ill put her in his charge conjointly with myself” (102). After Lucy’s health became to deteriorate, Dr Seward suggested his old professor could examine Lucy and decipher what’s the cause of her illness. Dr Van Helsing is more experience on supernatural events he’s the adequate person to treat and cure Lucy and might be able to defeat Dracula with his knowledge and experience.
This award is given to Past Master Councilors who have met the requirements for the award, which include but are not limited to, such
I am writing this letter of recommendation for the Graduate Student Teaching Assistant Award to recognize my CHM 256 T.A. Haitham Kalil. I've only known him for about 4 weeks, and he has already shown the utmost respect and concern for his students since the first day of class. He is very aware of his responsibilities as an instructor and is understanding towards certain situations as well as give his full attention to his students to help succeed in the class. As a second year student my experience with college professors and instructors are limited but during my attendance at Cleveland State University I can distinguish the instructors that want the best for their students. As the engaged learning experience in Cleveland state represents
A law firm has warned U.S. Air Force officials assigned at the Joint Base San Antonio in Texas that they could face legal action if they do not withdraw the punishment for a Christian officer who was accused of making derogatory comments on homosexuality but has already been cleared through an investigation.
