The Holocaust teaches us about racism and prejudice and that helps us prepare for the horrible things people will say about each other. This helps kids know the dangers for the future. The Holocaust was no mistake in history so we should learn about it. 8th graders need to learn about the Holocaust, because it helps them with their futures and tells them about the past, teaches them about prejudice and it let’s them engage and think about how it connects with them. The Holocaust was a terrible thing that happened in history. There was a lot of violence but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t learn about it. Yes, it’s said that sometimes violence can corrupt a kids mind, but if you teach it in a good non aggressive way then they will understand what the Holocaust is other than how they killed the people. …show more content…

Students are more present and awake when you talk about something that they are interested in learning about. Learning about the Holocaust let’s ask more questions, why did they do it, how did they do, who did it? It also helps the teacher know more about their students and their feelings towards the Holocaust and prejudice. It helps everyone connect in some sort of way, you get to know some of there problems with hatred and they get to know the problems in the past about hatred. It happened a long time ago but that doesn’t mean that people shouldn’t ask questions about it and teach about it (Why we need to continue studying the Holocaust pg1 sentence
