Leadership: An Enhanced Personal View Redefined
In an attempt to revisit my personal view of leadership, I will first review what fine points are of a leader that led me to define it as I did. My original definition identified leadership that “Scholars agree that there is no one definition of leadership and it remains a complex concept.” Further internet searches drummed up a plethora of slogans with different meanings and words of influence. This all was simply a bumper wall to stay in and fall between concepts, to no avail of a defined meaning of leadership. A leader possesses an ethical compass that always points to what they believe to be true, and if along the way you happen to influence followers one is said to be a leader. This is not bounded by our concept of right or wrong. Take Hitler for example, whom was a very effective leader that massed millions of followers to slaughter the Jews as the final solution and the known world. To him and his followers they were right and the rest of the world was wrong. What is of importance here is that Hitler’s leadership of inspiring, influence, aspire, the German populous resulted in the mass genocide of millions of the Jewish people that was developed over a decade of Nazi policy. On the other side of the coin, you can be a leader by freeing all the slaves as President Lincoln did which led to Martin Luther King a 100 years later, that lead the masses to equal rights among all free citizens.
History is paved with leaders that have influence and inspired massing’s of the populous like Hitler and of single individuals like Aristotle and Eisenstein with philosophy and scientific discovery. Those whom have affected their vision onto others inspiring, influencing and aspire change to the good or bad whatever is your personal perception is of those words. That leadership defined is of your own perception, as long as you can influence, inspire, and aspire at the least, one other person to believe your cause and act or change
