Lack Of Leadership In America

There has been many great leaders in america. Some are better than others, some didnt live long enough in office to be ranked. Others like George Washington did enough to be known worldwide for being a great leader. Abe Lincoln is known for ending the the civil war.

Leaders strive for unity and do everything they can to ensure cohesiveness within their people. America is an improbable idea that thrives due to determined leaders venturing for unity and stepping into a position of responsibility that entails making and executing tough decisions.

All great leaders, both historic and unknown, earned the trust of the people they led. Unfortunately, with the keen eye of today’s media, many modern leaders are caught in situations that can jeopardize the credibility with the public. Such situations often include withholding information or simply lying. It is vital for leaders to maintain a sense of transparency to help their followers understand their actions. A position such as the President of the United States is a true test of leadership; some of the men who try to assume the role have failed. For example, Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, simply lied to the American public. The lies told by these Presidents cost them the trust of the American people.

Why does bad leadership exist? Bad leadership indeed exists in the US Border Patrol is a question that I have wondered about for many years. What has been done to fix the problem and if any programs have been created to develop good and efficient leaders for the future. This paper sought a definition of bad leadership, and compiled a taxonomy of eighteen types of poor leaders. This research serves as a review of poor leadership in the US Border Patrol. Why does it exists, why it is tolerated and what impact positive leadership may have on this problem.

Growing up in the church I watched every movie, show and read every story about Samson. His story was very popular amongst young children because he was so strong and had cool hair, at least that is how the story was presented to us. It was not until I read the text and scripture again to learn the truth behind Samson’s infamous story. My argument is protesting corrupt leadership. More specifically leaders who sweet talk the masses into giving them support. Once a leadership role is gained, they begin to abuse their power and use it as a source for personal gain, rather than to contribute to the betterment of their country or region's society.

In this day and age there are some good leaders and not so good leaders. Trying to find a good leader in this country, or this world is hard. Someone can't just look out the door and find a leader. People need to step up and be leaders. If this country wants to be great again, the citizens in this country need to look into the presidential election and learn more about the people running for president. Bernie Sanders flaws which critics points out to most of the time is his steadfast ideological philosophies that are unrealistic and can never work. America faces a plethora of problems and issues on a daily basis. Let's face it, though many view us as superior to all other countries, we, as a nation, are far from a utopia. The United States has been one of the most examined countries in the world, which is good for their positioning with other countries in the world. While being one of the most dominant countries is always a positive trait, the recent presidential election has led to other countries wondering if they are going into a downward spiral of political mismanagement. This was been due to Republican candidate Donald Trump making statements in regards to keeping immigrants out of the United States, which has led to damaged relationships with other nations, most notably with their neighbor and arguably strongest trading partner, Mexico. These remarks have led to the Mexican citizens changing their stance from embracing American nationals to wanting to have no association with them in any form. Some Americans, such as Kevin Cunningham, have traveled to study abroad in Mexico City, and his experience was drastically influenced by Trump’s outbursts.

In America there are huge problems that we face on a daily basis that include, the North Korean regime that continues to de escalate and threaten millions of lives globally "Why UN Sanctions On North Korea Aren't Working, According To Experts", illegal immigration is also a problem that threatens U.S. cities financially, also protesting that is legal until riots and burning of buildings occur then it becomes illegal and becomes a huge crisis in the United States. The North Korean Nuclear Program and its de escalating problems, illegality of immigration, and protesting and it’s effect on cities are only some problems American’s are facing today.

When you define the word leader it states it’s someone who rules, guides, and inspire others. I can think of no one better than President Barack Obama. Since he’s been in office he has done an excellent job being the president of the United States. To come into office with so much damage done the nation due to the previous president, he did and still is doing a great job cleaning up.

Leadership is something that people are born with. It is an inherent charm and it doesn’t hide even if you want to hide it.
