Kudler is using an external company to handle their finacial data. Earnest Young Consulting was contracted to install an retail management system for Kudler. In the retail division, the managers are storing personal employee and company information in the store computer. Being the monopoly can have some advantages and some disadvantages. The advantage is being the only store in the San Diego area that sells imported items is a plus. This allows Kudler to profit and grow with being the only international grocery store. So many people enjoy the imported products when they visit other countries but are not able to get this product again. This allows the tourist to enjoy foods they are use to eating at home when they visit. The only disadvantage is people having to travel to the San Diego area to get what they need. The Kudler Fine Foods (KFF) specializes in the retailing of grocery and other edibles from 1998, when its official founder and owner, Kathy officially conceptualized the first store at La Jolla, which is located in California. Each location manages their own employees’ information on their own database. This proves to be a problem since all Human Resources and employee information should be managed at the administrative office on one central Human Resources Information System (HRIS). The Assistant Manager is also accountable for the store and helps the store managers quite a bit with inventory and daily store operating routines. Involved in this is the “overall store operations and security”, which includes making sure all sanitation standards are being followed (Dunkin’s Brand Group, Inc., 2015). They are also a part of the hiring team. Very similar to Assistant Managers are Shift Leaders, as they do a lot of the same jobs as the assistant manager. The main focus is on customer satisfaction and the quality of services being provided. These leaders make sure that “operations run smoothly, efficiently, and according to industry standards while also overseeing and directing employees”
