The presence of two Presidents and Executive Vice-Presidents strengthens the corporate management team which takes strategic decisions. The shareholding pattern of Voltas has also been shown. The non-promoter holding is much higher than the promoter holding.
The human resource initiatives of Voltas which motivate employees, improve their morale and bridge the gap between senior management and lower level managers and workers has been analyzed. Some initiatives are cross-cultural sensitivity workshops, lateral induction program and creating a handbook on employee engagement have paved the way for successful management across the firm.
The report concludes by analyzing the impact of the above mentioned internal forces on the image and brand equity of Voltas as well as its performance.
1. Introduction
HCL Technologies is an Indian global IT services company started in 1976 by Shiv Nadar and Arjun Malhotra. With its headquarters in Noida (Uttar Pradesh), it operates across 31 countries and offers services including software consulting, enterprise transformation, remote infrastructure management, engineering and R&D services, and business process outsourcing (BPO) across industry verticals.

As well, individuals from diverse backgrounds are able to provide companies with insight into foreign business practices, translation assistance, and offer detailed information to assist in market penetration. A diverse working team can also improve decision making by providing different perspectives on problems. Individuals embrace working alongside other cultures, as it is a personal learning process that will prove useful in the future.

Do to the size and nature of HCA company complexity and immense information system, it’s vital for HCA to have an operating system that will enable them to operate efficiently and effectively. HCA’s current information system has several strengths but also has several weaknesses and noticeable areas of needed improvement.

Bank of America will represent as the example for the company who has acquired and merged with other banks, and Fresno Southeastern Bank will act as the example for the bank who has never merged with a larger bank in any form or has been acquired. When operating in an ever-changing world, a company must flow and learn to benefit from the external and internal forces. The modern business environment is unpredictable and usually corporations cannot fully forecast the demand and the outcome of various products or services (Geer-Frazier, 2014). However, in the case of HCL, its paramount strength was Mr. Nayar’s aptitude to foresee the change of the IT service environment and the external changes that were limiting HCL growth and market share.
