In viewing this short film I learned a bit more depth into the history of the formation of labour laws and unionism. I knew it was a battle to be fought and was often lost up until recently. From my point of view I can see both the workers and the government side of the fight for and against worker unionism. I am bias, and am on the workers side of things, since I was raised and live in the lower middle class bracket. Biases aside, I can see why the government wanted to oppose the workers fight for unionism.

When Samuel Langhorne Clemens first published his story, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, he was criticized severely. On top of that, the book was banned from libraries and schools alike. The book was thought to be a bad influence on children because it represents the breaking of the law as moral, it recommends disobedience and defiance on the part of young people, it portrays churchgoers as hypocritical, and the most admirable characters in the book habitually lie and steal and loaf (Johnson XII). In this day and time, though, the book has become required reading for many schools, and is found in almost every library in the country. Why has there been a change in attitude

Ling-Long would fight with Meat and Wishy-Wood so much that Meat and Wishy-Wood started fighting each other. They would argue really loud back and forth and the village people were tired of it. So every night the village people would pray, hoping something will happen to make them stop arguing. Every night for weeks the village people would go home and pray. But one day King Neptune
During World War Two when Hitler came into power he had strong opinions and took many vicious actions that resulted in innocent deaths. Knowing the outcome of his actions it is incomprehensible why anyone would have wanted to support him. To be a paradigm of a Gothic novel, The House of Seven Gables needs to include many elements, all which center on the ideas of gloom, horror, and mystery. The action of a Gothic novel takes place in a "run-down, abandoned or occupied, mansion or castle," which often include secret passages, doors, and compartments (Encarta). The mansion also adds its own flavor and variety to the atmosphere of mystery and suspense in the novel by providing a dark and gloomy setting where the story takes place.
