The website www.missionstatements.com lists the mission of Dollar General as “Serving Others. For Customers, A Better Life. For Shareholders, A Superior Return. For Employees, Respect and Opportunity.” On their website, http://www2.dollargeneral.com/About-Us/pages/mission-profile.aspx, Dollar General shortens that to just “Serving Others,” however, navigating the website shows that Dollar General does work to incorporate the full mission statement into their day to day operations. In fact, each section of the mission statement is addressed in the about us page.

The FFA mission statement reads “Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve”. The Columbia City FFA Chapter worked to fulfill this mission statement by embarking in a new community service project called Read to Feed with the Indiana FFA Association and Heifer International. Through this program, FFA members were provided the opportunity to impact first grade elementary students by heightening their awareness of international agricultural issues through service and literacy. The chapter partnered with first grade classes from Little Turtle and Coesse Elementary Schools. Introduction Missional, is a term that seems to have taken its place in the church of today. The term is not foreign, but one that many have come to understand. Prior to launching into seminary school, I became familiar with the term, and possibly used it, however, I fully understood the term missional, upon taking this class. I also understand the purpose of the term missional and the characteristics of it as well. When God set the world into place the missional church was on the rise.

In COM466, I learned how to create a mission statement and understood what the meaning behind the statement was; however, I did not know the legal perspective either. Not to mention, I have worked with a lot of nonprofit organizations and I noticed that the people there are extremely loyal to their mission. People would give up their free time to volunteer at the organization and strive to help others out by using different resources to reach the goals of the mission statement. In addition, most mission statements are focus on the change of our society and it encourage the organization to keep making improvement.

The Vision/Mission statement of Myers Middle School is directly in line with the vision and mission statements of the Savannah-Chatham County school district. It’s mission: To ignite a passion for learning at prominent level. This mission statement was constructed with all learners in mind and challenges each student through rigorous and thought-provoking instruction developed to inspire students to become lifelong learners. This excerpt from the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts’ (LSA) mission statement, “…provides students with adaptive skills to solve problems,” supports my objective of hopefully using mathematics as a nexus to solve some of the country’s inexcusable societal shortcomings. And as an aspiring pure mathematics major, this excerpt from the Department of Mathematics’ mission statement, “…to further the field of mathematics and bring its power to bear in the solution of problems for the good of mankind,” completely aligns with my passionate commitment to my objective. Feeling supported and having the same operational intents of the College and Department to which I hope to transfer and study lays the foundation for my attraction to LSA.

After thoughtful analysis of the mission statement for USF, I realized that the same values were instilled in me from my time in the military. As stated in the USF mission statement, I see myself as a person that wants to help the community as a nurse, and partner to make the world we live in more humane. I am applying to USF because I feel that I embody all the characteristics a future nursing should have in order to become a healthcare professional.

The Perris High School District Statement states that they want to create high-quality learning opportunities for every student in an environment that is caring and safe. It also says that they want to care for the students and help them develop growth mindset from creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. They want to help the students achieve their goals in life and pursue that dream they have of being whatever they want to be. They will have caring and happy teachers and staff to help the students achieve these goals that the students want to achieve.

The Target Corporation’s mission statement is to make their company the most sought after shopping destination by delivering a great guest experience with the most innovated technologies and quality merchandise. Target is the second largest general merchandise retailer in America. Target was founded by George Draper Dayton, in 1902, with the name Goodfellow Dry Goods. In 1903, Mr. Dayton changed the name to The Dayton Compay. Furthermore, the first Target store opened in 1962 in the Minneapolis, Minnesota which became the main headquarters. It grew to be the largest division of the Dayton-Hudson Corporation and was subsequently renamed the Target Corporation in 2000. Target anticipates staying ahead by challenging the company to be the most efficient and intellectual upscale company in the retail industry (Target Corporation, 2016).

One area of the South Burlington High School Mission Statement is “inspiring lifelong learning.” I can confidently say that I am inspired to pursue lifelong learning. I believe knowledge is the key to success, no matter what how each individual chose to continue their lives. Even the basic skills in life require some knowledge in order to be achieved. I believe that tutoring others was an experience that demonstrates the inspiration of learning. Because the students were pursuing help in education which shows their yearn for learning. The leadership team discussed specific outcomes that they want accomplish, taking into consideration the issues they want to address. After careful deliberation, they decided that they wanted to create a process of implementation with a feedback loop in which teachers and staff discuss each lesson. Documentation would be written down of what worked and what did not work and modifications could be done for the upcoming lessons. This could be accomplished by setting time for staff to meet and discuss lesson implementation, areas of strength and weakness. After discussion the staff would discuss and change the lesson plans to meet the needs of classroom. By crating this process of implementation staff can course correct
