Two best friends, named Kayla and Serenity lived in Austin Texas. They’ve been best friends since Kindergarten, and did everything together from shopping to doing homework. They lived right next door to each other, and even shared the same birthday. The two were inseparable! They thought they would be best friends until they both got boyfriends. Things would soon change for their friendship. One hot, sunny, summer day in Texas Kayla and Serenity decided to go to the beach. “I’m so glad summer is here! I’m badly in need of a tan.” Said Kayla. “Me too! Beach?” asked Serenity. “You bet!” replied Kayla. They packed up their beach items and headed to West Valley beach, outside of the city. When they got there they searched until they found the perfect spot to set up their stuff and begin tanning. Kayla immediately plugged her headphones in and put her sunglasses on; she began to relax while lying under the warm summer sunshine. Serenity on the other hand, she put on some sunscreen, put her sunglasses on and got up to walk around and look cute. On her little walk she spotted a cute boy standing at the concession stand, so she walked his direction and because she was trying so hard to get noticed she didn’t notice the stick she was about to trip over. She went tumbling down right in front of the cute boy! She felt so embarrassed, until he came running to her side to help her up. She thanked him, as he wipes the sand off of her arms and hands. They exchanged names, and
In a small town named Switzerfield there was a little boy named John Parker Lyons. Over the years of hard work, and stress John grew very goofy. In life, people can gain friends quickly, but what no one talks about is that they can lose them just as fast. I learned how quickly a friendship can begin and end about two years ago. In August of 2013 a girl named Moriah Ebron was deemed my best friend. She lived in Delaware while I was all the way in West Virginia. That was a small challenge, but we made it work. We were able to visit each other and have an amazing friendship, but suddenly, something went terribly wrong. Never had I realized how fast friendships can end until I became friends with Moriah Ebron. This is an epic story of friendships and trials as well as love and hate. This is all about how I gained and lost a best friend in the same amount of time, and how that shaped me as a person.

The sun beat down on my my uncovered shoulders, eager to provide the paleness with a personal touch. The sunscreen I had put on earlier was no match for the power of the sun; my sweat was its kryptonite. My once pale shoulders were now turning tan, now under the control of the sun. Leaning back into a sitting position, I wiped my hands around the circumference of my face,
While waiting in line at the ice rink one day, a little boy smiled at me and began making the cutest funny faces. He looked about four years old. My friend and I made funny faces back at him before going off to skate. Thirty minutes later, I noticed the boy again. His mother wanted him to skate, but only encouraged him from the sidelines since she wasn’t wearing skates. I asked my friend if we should help the little boy. She agreed. The mom smiled and nodded her head when we asked her. The little boy was so energetic. My friend and I took turns holding him up and steadying him. After an hour passed, he skated with a walker by himself.
She has nothing to show, but she tells the class that her brother died. She says, “I the only Park now. I keep my name like boy” (Na, 2001, p. 35). A boy asks how he died, but the teacher gets upset and tells him not to ask that. On Fridays, the class makes warm fuzzies, but the teacher decided to have the class make them for her.
The Movie New Year Baby is a documentary directed by Socheata that delves into the Poeuv family’s past of fleeing from Cambodia during the reign of the Communist, Khmer Rogue and how it has affected their family, despite living in America. I would like to focus on Kear Poeuv who is Socheata’s mother. Poeuv created an artificially, normal life while coercing her family to live a lie. Kear reflects the opposite of the Chinese Existential principle as the mother does not confront conflicts that have arisen in life and deal with them directly. Kear’s response to her conflicts that have arisen can relate to Skinner’s personality theories of how past traumas can affect future behaviors
