Kat grimaced and shook her head, “I’m fine. What are you talking about?” Seb turned her so that she was looking into his eyes. “Katherine. You were shaking all through that campfire. You had your teeth clenched, and you just grimaced. This isn’t you, Kat. What’s going on?” Kat wrenched herself from his firm grasp and walked away. “Nothing. I’m fine!” Seb stood staring after her for a minute before getting himself ready and going to sleep. He tossed and turned for an hour before he decided that whatever was going on with Kat was important. He’d never seen her so scared before. Seb pulled on his jeans and walked quietly over to Kat’s tent. He called out softly, “Kat? Are you awake?” Kat groaned and rolled over. Seb wasn’t just going to let …show more content…

Little Orphan Katie!” Kat slammed the door to her room and sobbed, her back against the wall. She slowly sank down to the floor and lay there sobbing for hours. Focus the energy to that spot.” Marcus knelt and touched the ground, closing his eyes. He fixated on the ground and then the focused look on his face disappeared as a beautiful, pure white lily grew from the ground in front of him. Marcus smiled and picked the lily. Kat winced as it said, “Ouch! You’d better get me to some water, boy!” Marcus took the lily and handed it to a girl watching in awe. “Here you are Lillie. It’s for you.” Lillie took the flower and smiled, biting her lip. The lily had some more to say, of course. “Okay then, that wasn’t too bad. But I’ll still need to be taken care of. You hear me human?” Kat snickered and Jade turned to her. “What’s so funny Kat?” Kat looked up at her, “It’s nothing, really. The lily has a sense of
