I personally liked taking the Jung Typology Test. I have taken an MBTI test before in a career class this past semester through saddleback. This website is very helpful especially after you take the test. It shows different career options that go along with your personality test results. Further, it shows different colleges that offer the suggested careers. I feel that the Jung Typology test can be accurate in some cases. If a student just clicks though the 64 questions then they will not get their results as accurately, where as if another student took time to fully read easy question you will get a more precise result. I personally think that this test got some of my personality traits but not all of it was spot on. It said that I am an
When discussing the accuracy of personality tests, there is no test, which will provide perfect precision. According to Dr. O'Neil, “an individual's personality is the complex of mental characteristics that makes them unique from other people” (2006, Para 1). O’Neil believes that the potential factors involved in shaping personality include values, beliefs, and expectations that are genetic and environmental (O’Neil, 2006).
PLEASE REMEMBER – when taking personality tests, or any psychological tests, you typically need to respond based on your PREFERRED way of being, not necessarily how situations in the past have required / compelled you to be.
During my time in my senior seminar class, I took a personality test that gave me
Within the Jung Typology Test (JTT) it states that my type of personality is introverted, sensing, feeling and judging. The results indicated I am an introvert over extrovert, the score showed 56%. There was a marginal or no preference to sensing over intuition at 1% for this result. Moderate preference to feeling over thinking at 25%, and a strong preference to judging over perceiving at 78%. So this is saying that I am an introverted sensing with extroverted feeling.
After taking the Jung Typology Test my four letters were ENFJ. According to these results my personality type is that of an extraverted individual. It states that I am a person who is outgoing, generous, talkative. It highlights I am a person who likes to be social and values relationships and collective values. I agree with this because I do believe that I am a person who loves to interact with people.
Some of them I felt were truly accurate, and some of the others showed me characteristics of myself I’ve never realized that I am, like a very defiant individual because on two out of the three we took it seemed I couldn’t really be put into a certain category. The Myers-Briggs test was the only one exception because it had you definitely put into one, single group. My result was that I had the Advocate personality, in the Diplomatic arena. It said I was, “a very rare category, making up less than one percent of the population, but that they nonetheless leave their mark on the world. As members of the Diplomat Role group, Advocates have an inborn sense of idealism and morality, but what sets them apart is that they are not idle dreamers, but people capable of taking concrete steps to realize their goals and make a lasting, positive impact. And though soft-spoken, they have very strong opinions and will fight tirelessly for an idea they believe in.” Which I believe is pretty spot on for me, though I would have never been able to come up with that description of
After going to the website, I took the personality test. I was identified as ISFP. This meant that I was fifty percent introvert, twenty-two percent sensing, twenty-five percent feeling, and twenty-two percent perceiving. The test was very accurate. To start, the results showed that I was an introvert. This perfectly describes me. My entire life I have been the shy one in the group. I was never focused on being the center of attention; I was fine with staying in the middle or back of the group. So for my results to say that I was fifty percent introvert was more accurate than I had intended it to be.
Although this test is interesting, what everyone must realize is that people are way more complex than any personality test will tell them. No test can be 100% accurate for everyone and it shouldn’t be taken as gospel. This test organizes everyone into a box; learn from it, but don’t let its walls limit
To analyze the assessments – I’m happy with all my results. They all confirm my previous beliefs of myself. The first test I took was the personality test. My results were INFP – which is interesting because I normally ENFP with a side note saying I am also closely considered to be a INFP. This is due to me having Bipolar Disorder. With Bipolar Disorder, there are two moods – Manic and Depressive. If you know about the disorder my two personality types fit perfectly with the moods. In a manic episode I thrive off of social
It is hard to say someone is specifically just one type, there is so much more to a person then the few characteristics listed. With that said I do think this test can make people realize their strengths and weaknesses. I enjoyed getting the results of my test and seeing how accurate it was. The only thing that bothered me about this is that I feel like some people could take this too seriously and think that the test describes every aspect of their life perfectly which it does
I have to agree my assessment results are congruent with my personality. As an extravert, I am extremely talkative and social. I enjoy interacting with individuals on a daily basis and being able to communicate through speech. It was no surprise when I saw my extraversion score at a high level. I tend to be a very agreeable person. I am always helping others and putting their needs before my own. Sympathy and caring are personality traits learned over the last few years in my life. I am an extremely conscientious person, who is always controlling my surrounding environments. I rely heavily on myself and am determined to achieve my life goals. I figured my neuroticism score would be high, since I am filled with anxiety, depression, and fear. My ability to adjust to change is not the greatest, which affects my emotional stability. The
My first thought about this test is that it is not real and it really does not mean anything. The test results are very accurate about me. It does measure everything it claims to measure about me. My personality type is “Determined Realist”. The validity says I am practical, traditional, and organized, and things are true about me. The hard-working part really made me believe this is very accurate because my grandfather made sure that was something I picked up from him. I am a very loyal person who is a good citizen who value security and peaceful living. When I graduated high school, my plan was to go in the military, but I changed my mind. This test showed me that the military could have fit me. Some of the other careers I have had an
Overall, I believe that the test was fairly accurate in measuring certain factors of my personality so much so that it was difficult for me to find certain factors that I did not agree with. However there were two factors, E (dominance) and Q1 (rebelliousness), which I believe were a bit overrated in myself. Aside from these the test seemed to adequately define facets of my personality. For “warmth” (factor A) my sten score read 4, indicating that I am slightly more reserved and critical that easygoing and good-natured. I scored a 7 in “ego strength” (factor C), classifying me as more stable and emotionally mature and less emotional and changeable in attitudes. In dominance (factor E) my sten score read 8, meaning I am more assertive, competitive and stubborn rather than submissive, dependent and humble. I received an average score of 5 in “impulsivity” (factor F) indicating a slightly more serious and sober approach to the world over the cheerful and enthusiastic view. As for “boldness” (factor H), I received a sten score of 4 signifying a more shy and restrained approach to things as opposed to an adventurous genial one. I received a median score of 5 for “emotional sensitivity” (factor I) demonstrating my slightly more tough-minded and self-reliant view in contrast to a sensitive insecure one. For “imagination” (factor M) a score of 8, indicating that I am more imaginative, unconventional and absorbed in ideas and am less so for practicality and the prosaic.
Have I ever took a personality test that answer will be no I have not taking one but will like to take one to learn more about what type characteristic shape my personality. I would expect the personality test to show my caring ability, motivation levels and strength ability. Also I would like to test tell me about my social skills as a child I did not have good social skills now as a adult I have better social skills do to self confidence that I lack as a child. My personality has grown since I was a child. A personality test will open many doors to my colorful mind.
The test defines a person in two different categories, either your one (A) or the other (B). I believe it demonstrates how people should be more aware of their personality, especially if it is going
