Introduction Hello, I’m Joshua Dudley and the results I got for my Jung Typology Test was on point for the kind of person I am. In the Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test my letters were ENFJ. ENFJs are the benevolent 'pedagogues' of humanity. They have tremendous charisma by which many are drawn into their nurturant tutelage and/or grand schemes. Many ENFJs have tremendous power to manipulate others with their phenomenal interpersonal skills and unique salesmanship (butt). All of the letters have different meanings. (E)- Extravert (34%), (N)- iNtuitive (9%), (F)- Feeling (19%), and (J)- Judging (28%) and these for letters ENFJ make up the type of person I am. I also had to find a two letter temperament for my personality. The two Letters I think that fit me is (NF)- “The Idealists” which my primary …show more content…
Extravert Extravert definition is an outgoing, overly expressive person (http://www.dictionary.com/). I am definitely a outgoing person. I do not know a stranger. In my profession as a professional basketball trainer I have to be out going person. I deal with hundreds of kids at once and if I don’t have a personality for that many kids then I will not have positive effect on them. I also am an expressive person but I don’t not think overly. If I am over expressive it has to be on something I love to express to other people. For an example church related things and basketball is something I can be overly expressive about.
Intuitive
Intuitive definition is using or based on what one feels to be true even without conscious reasoning (http://www.dictionary.com/). Using my intuition is something I think I do a lot sometimes when it comes to decision making. Sometimes I regret some of the decisions I have made but I cannot change them. My intuition really kicks in when
Intuition - the ability to understand what is happening instantly and outside conscious control, without the need for conscious reasoning and argument. Mystical intuition understood as the knowledge gained from the higher powers, rational intuition based on experience and is opposed to reasoning deployed discursive thought.
Within the Jung Typology Test (JTT) it states that my type of personality is introverted, sensing, feeling and judging. The results indicated I am an introvert over extrovert, the score showed 56%. There was a marginal or no preference to sensing over intuition at 1% for this result. Moderate preference to feeling over thinking at 25%, and a strong preference to judging over perceiving at 78%. So this is saying that I am an introverted sensing with extroverted feeling.
After taking the “Jung Typology Test”, I was given four letters that would describe my personality type. According to the website, my personality type is ISFP, which translates into Introvert (3%), Sensing (12%), Feeling (31%), and Perceiving (22%). I plan to discuss my Introverted personality trait using the COGNITIVE perspective; I will discuss my sensing personality trait using the PSYCHODYNAMIC perspective; I will talk about my feeling personality trait using the BIOLOGICAL/NEUROSCIENCE perspective, and I will discuss my perceiving using the BIOLOGICAL/NEUROSCIENCE perspective. To have the personality type ISFP, this means that I am what most call an “adventurer.” “ISFPs live in a colorful, sensual world, inspired by connections with people and ideas.
After taking the Jung Typology Test my four letters were ENFJ. According to these results my personality type is that of an extraverted individual. It states that I am a person who is outgoing, generous, talkative. It highlights I am a person who likes to be social and values relationships and collective values. I agree with this because I do believe that I am a person who loves to interact with people.
After taking the Jung Typology Test, I was scored with the personality type of ESFJ. The E stands for Extravert, S stands for Sensing, F stands for feeling, and J stands for judging. I have a “slight preference of Sensing over Introversion (6%),” a “marginal or no preference of Sensing over Intuition (1%),” a “moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (38%),” and a “moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (25%).” One of the components to my personality type, ESFJ, is extraverted feeling. Within the results, there is a description that gives an in-depth explanation of the quality.
After completing the Jung Typology Test, and the Four Temperaments exercise, I have discovered what exactly my personality traits are and I have narrowed down what some of my strengths and weaknesses are based on a human metrics scale. Throughout this paper I will be discussing the Four Temperaments which are relevant to my test scores being, Extravert, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging and how both my strengths and weaknesses in those temperaments can relate to my everyday work life. I will show those strengths and weaknesses by giving examples and researching which will show validity to why I scored what I did on the Jung Typology Test. Throughout this paper I will also be discussing the NF- “The Idealists” style and how being categorized as, “The Teacher” or “The Giver” type is fitting to my lifestyle. Lastly, I will reference the “Type Talk at Work” textbook in discussing what role I play in my organization and how I can better understand why my personality traits have such a major impact on who I am, how my co-workers view me and what I’ve learned. In conclusion, the Jung Typology Test and the Four Temperaments exercise will ultimately allow me to grow as a member in my organization.
When taking the Jung typology test the profile I received was INFJ. In this profile, “I” stands for introvert. What this means is that I tend to be more introverted, rather than extraverted. An example of this is, a friend of mine was having a party and asked me to go. Since it was my friend’s birthday I decided to go. When I got to the party I realized that I wouldn’t be able to talk to her very much because of all the people there. I spent most of the night being very quiet and not starting up any conversations. Whenever someone started talking to me, I would keep the conversation going of course. After about an hour of uncomfortable socializing I decided to step out on her back porch for some peace and quiet. I often find that when I am
There are 4 Temperaments ranging from Guardian, Artisan, Idealist. and Rational. Upon taking the Jung Typology Test I received ENFJ or, Extravert, Intuitive, Feeling and Judging. (“Finding Your Passion,”2017).ENFJ would fall under the Idealist temperament. A moderate preference for Intuition over Sensing and Judging over Perceiving was established. ENFJ means my temperament is that of an idealist or a teacher. I am not surprised that I was matched with an idealist however, a teacher did take me a little by surprise. I always joke that I would love to be a motivational speaker however, I do not have enough patience to watch people continue to make poor decisions without offering some not so constructive criticism. The Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test provided me with unexpected results. The test showed me that I am more of an extravert over introvert, I have a “slight preference of sensing over intuition”, I have “no preference of thinking over feeling”, and I have “slight preference of judging over perceiving.” These results surprised me slightly while also telling me things I already expected.
According to the Jung Typology Test ENFJ’s are has charisma, are able to manipulate people, have great interpersonal skills as well as salesmanship, believe in their dreams and are helpers and enablers. It also said that I was a global learner and see the big picture. What really hit home for me is that they mentioned organization, decisiveness, feelers and neglect my own needs. I consider myself a very charismatic person. In previous jobs people loved to work with me because I always kept a up beat spirit.
A Part of Who I Am Have you ever thought about your personality type? I didn’t until I took the Jung Typology test. This is where I found out about my personality type, out of sixteen. When I reflected upon the results, I recognized the strengths and weaknesses with my personality, and what careers best fit my personality. The results I received correlated exactly to what my personality is and made me understand myself better.
Upon completing the Jungian Typology task I feel much more strongly about my ability to understand myself personally. I was considered to be a mediator, which in simple form is someone who always searches for the light in the dark and endeavor to make the best out of even the worst situations. Mediators are considered to be calm in terms of behavior, reserved regarding opening up to strangers and expressing themselves, as well as shy in some situations where a high level of reserve is present. According to 16personalities.com "When deciding how to move forward, they will look to honor, beauty, morality, and virtue", meaning mediators lead with trust, see the best in everyone regardless of their background, and respect everyone equally. In terms of the assessment regarding how productive I am, I received a score of 53 signifying my productivity techniques are efficient enough to complete whatever task I have present in the appropriate time frame
I got ISTJ as my personality type on the Jungian typology test. What I gathered from the description of this test is that I should be very precise and punctual with everything I do. It even said some may be able to set their watch by this personality type. This type is also known for being extremely just in their area of interest or responsibilities. Meaning work, church school home etc.
As requested, I took the Jung Typology Assessment. The results revealed my personality to be ISFJ (Introverted Sensing Feeling Judging). The first characteristic listed is the desires to serve others. An ISFJ is loyal, sometimes taken for granted, bad at delegating, but produces superior quality work. Methodical, accurate, and possess an excellent memory are more characteristics of the ISFJ personality type. They work well in a small group and make reliable coworkers; however, they tend to be awkward in a supervisory capacity. Not only is an ISFJ a great employee but they are extremely family oriented and dedicated to their intimate group of friends. If a friend or family member is in need of emotional support an ISFJ is by their side without
Introverts are people who spend time thinking and reflecting before they act. Their motivation is internal, which might end up closing them off from the world around them. Introverts usually prefer one-to-one relationships, and only express intimacy with a few family members or close friends. Introverts also love doing activities that allow them to be put in an organizational position. Occasionally, introverts will shut down and close off from all of those around them. Personally, I believe that is a completely accurate description of myself. I also plan out my days ahead of time, and I love being able to put things together. While I sometimes I think that it is a negative thing, I do tend to close off from my circle, which happens to be very small. If I do get to meet my goal of being a teacher, my introversion definitely yields to potential for problems. Getting out of my shell would be a challenge, without a doubt. That being said, my introversion is mostly geared towards others my age. I am usually very comfortable around people that are older or younger than I am, which makes me believe I would probably be okay. Other than having to overcome the challenge of opening up, being an introvert does have upsides, such as having an urge to get things done.
