Sammy Jordan was born on November 1, 2002. He was twelve years old and played for his home town AAU team, the North Carolina Stars. Sammy was the youngest kid on the team because he played with the highs school group. Now the North Carolina Stars weren’t you average basketball team. They had a winning streak for the past year and half that was kept alive. They went 98-0. The best record in the nation for their age group, but as we all know eventually die and that’s exactly what happened for Sammy’s North Carolina Stars.

Michael began to play football in his senior year. Before this, he had played organized football at Mannheim American High School. He was a linebacker for the Mannheim Redskins in 1985. After playing one season at Westbury, he was offered a scholarship at Texas Southern University.

As a freshman at Florida, Newton played in just a handful of games, he mostly watched from the sidelines. He shadowed a Heisman winner, Tim Tebow.
