In 1865, Architect John Munroe built the gallows behind the Sidney Street Courthouse in Saint John New Brunswick. Munroe was noted to have said "I wonder who will be the first poor bastard to swing from this?"
In September of 1869 a few children were picking blueberries along Black River Rd, in saint John New Brunswick. They stumbled upon the bodies of an adult female and infant that had been left in this spot for over a year. No one seemed to know who they might be and police questioned a man by the name of James Kane.

In the late afternoon hours of June 24th 2014, 24 year old Jutin Bourque left his trailer park home in Muncton New Brunswick, dressed in camflauge and carrying a rifle and shotgun. He strolled down his street as if it were any other normal day, and was spotted by serveral neighbors.
The first call into 911 was made around 7:18pm of an armed man walking down Pioneer Avetowards the woods on the wet end of the street. The RCMP responded immediately. Setting up perimeters around the woods and neighborhood. Bourque had been spotted as he emerged from the words, crossing the street and entering woods that boarded the backyards of several homes in the area. Three officers trailed him, and as Bourque headed for a backyard one of the officers shouted to him and Bourque opened fire at officer Frabice Gevaudan but missed. The officer ran, radioing in that he was being shot at before being struck twice in the torso dying almost immediately.
Justin ran and emerged southeast of McCoy street, continuing down Mailhot Avenue just two minutes after killing Gevauden. Bourque was spotted by Cst. David Ross who opened fire on Bourque from inside his vehicle. Ross shot twice while Justin retaliated with six shots. Hitting Ross twice in the hand, and left shoulder and one fatal shot to the head. Spectator's believe that Ross attempted to run Jutin down but failed. Cst. Eric White discovered Ross's body still behind the wheel of his cruiser but was forced to take cover when Bourque opened

On Sunday September 18th. 2016. at approximately 8:30 PM an off-duty officer fatally shot a would be robber. The incident took place on the corner of Liberty Avenue and Merrick Boulevard. The off duty office was in route to his job for Allied Security dressed in his uniform when he was approached by the attempted robber. The attempted robber demanded that the officer hand over his gun and cash at gunpoint. After which the officer removed his weapon and shot the attempted robber. The injured man was taken to Queens General Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Officials responded to a 911 call reporting two teens were arguing which later on led to shooting at one another. Witnesses explained both teens were yelling between each other outside until the witnesses heard gunshots fire.
A black man within military training skills stalks law enforcement officers and ignored the people around him as he shot anyone wearing a badge or showing representation that they were a cop. A 911 dispatcher contacted Officer Mattox about a so called domestic dispute. Mattox arrived and heard another officer claiming that shots have been fired. However, it was the Fourth of July. The police believed it was an isolated case and continued to search for information on the murderer of these two girls. On August 12, 2010, Officers Saheed Baksh and Jeffrey Roberts were the first to respond to Bogota after a high-speed chase that started when two suspects fled the scene of a home that they attempted to burglarize. When apprehending the suspects, one of them reached for what Baksh suspected was a gun and the officer fired two rounds, both of which missed the driver. It was believed that both officers failed to immediately report the shooting and that officer Baksh removed the shell casing from the crime scene and at first had denied that he had even discharged his weapon.
On a Sunday night, a massive shooting occurred in a parking lot behind Etobicoke school, where a man, Abdulkadir Bihi, was killed, and two others were injured. This shooting marks Toronto’s 49th homicide in the year of 2017. During the Labor Day weekend, twelve people were shot in Charlotte, North Carolina. Last week Tuesday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney stated that the incident is like a ‘gang behavior’ and they were two groups that were involved in this incident. Putney also suspects that these two groups already had issues between each other. One of the victim is a seven year old, named Kevin Rodas, Kevin was attending a birthday party and at the same night he was killed. Putney expressed that this shooting exists because of their stupid gang fights and unfortunately innocent people were killed.
