The movie is very different from the story. Jhonny scalps Bill in the movie. In the book he tries to scalp him. In the movie he scalps him all the way. In the book, Sam offers candy to Jhonny who throws a rock at Bill. In the movie, Sam doesn’t offer candy, but instead he and Bill nab Jhonny. Both the movie and the book have a lot in common. There are no extra characters in the movie or the book. Sam narrates the story as he did in the book. Some quotes from the book are also in the movie.
There are many of the same people like Turtle, Angela, Grace, Hoo, Otis Amber, and Berthe Erica Crow. Also the money is both in the 2’s of millions like 20 and 200. Mr. Hoo still owns a Chinese restaurant that does very poorly. Also Berthe Erica Crow is still partnered with Otis Amber, and they still own the Good Salvation Soup Kitchen. As always Turtle still wins the Westing Game. That’s just a small list of what the similarities are between the book and movie.
Since there is a movie and book version of the story, there are both similarities and differences.
The first difference that caught my eye was how there was no cat, in the book there was a cat named, Sammie, and Sammie always got stuck in one of Billy’s traps. But in the movie
The biggest similarity between the book, and the movie is the theme. The theme in both the book, and the
In my opinion, the movie portrayed the theme of the original novel well. One of the theme of the book was “staying gold”, and it makes it possible for us to know the theme through some scenes: scene where Pony and Johnny saw marvelous sunrise and the part where Pony found and read Johnny’s letter. Those scenes were included in both the novel and the film. However, even if there were many significant scenes included, there were several missing scenes in the film; for instance, in the novel, Pony fought against the Socs at school and he also became mad when anyone said that Johnny is dead, but in the movie, those scenes were missing – In the movie, I couldn’t see much depression in Pony after Johnny has expired. The only scene in the movie that showed how shocked Pony was the part where his English teacher told him that he should write good semester theme to pass his class with
The novel and the movie share many similarities. The book and the novel share the same problems. A example johnny and pony run away since johnny killed bob.In both johnny gets injured badly and dies.
The similarities and differences between the movie and the book are endless. For example, one similarity is the plot, and two differences are the antagonists and the theme. The plots of High Noon and “The Most Dangerous Game” are both incredibly similar because the main characters of each story start
There are other significant similarities between the movie and the book, so if I overlooked or forgot any extremely crucial points, forgive me.
The diffrences are, Marty makes a pen in the book and in the movie Marty fixes a shed with Sam. Sam kisses Marty on his cheek in the movie and as we said there is no Sam in the book so that did not happen.
The first major difference between the movie and the book is how quickly the movie reveals some of the flaws of the main character Socrates Fortlow. In fact the movie starts with Socrates appearing
Foremost, it is very recognizable that the overall flow of the story is same, but most of the plot events are not the same. Though, there were same events happening in both novel and the movie. For example, in both
The plot and the setting of book and movie are very similar. There was a lot of thins borrowed from the book, but there was a lot changed as well. The movie followed the plot of book very closely and portrayed the setting of the book very well. A lot of the dialogue was borrowed and spoken directly as it was in the book.
The book and movie are completely different. It 's like comparing apples and oranges. (I 'm assuming that you used the newest version with Guy Pierce). The biggest difference is probably the ommision of Haydee and Maximillien and Valentine (three of the main character) and the addition of Jacapo. Jacapo does is in the book, but he is never a large character.
The Plot does not really have any differences in the movie from the book. The only real
Normally, when a movie is made about a story in a book the two stories are not exactly the same. The movie is adjusted by adding small details or leaving out some parts in order to make the story more
