Shiloh Paper Compare/Contrast Kayla, Laeyla, and Abby In the movie and book “Shiloh” there are many similarities and differences. There is a Sam and Sam is Doc Murphy’s grand daughter in the movie. In the end of the movie Marty’s dad and Judd get into a fight. Marty was jumping on Judd’s back trying to stop Judd from taking Shiloh. The diffrences are, Marty makes a pen in the book and in the movie Marty fixes a shed with Sam. Sam kisses Marty on his cheek in the movie and as we said there is no Sam in the book so that did not happen. In conclusion, our thoughts are, Kayla’s thought about Shiloh are: I think this book is a great book and the people put a lot of thought in this beautiful book, and it is wonderful. My (Laeyla) thoughts are:
Some things are different in the book and movie. Like Sunset Towers and Money in both versions. Sunset towers is luxurious in the book but a bad place to live downtown. The money the will was worth 200 million but in the movie it is worth 20 million. Another difference is that the Wexlers moved to Sunset Towers because they had no money, but in the book they moved because they had money. In the movie Jake Wexler is paying off his debt though they have money in the book. Jake Wexler is a
A difference in the movie and the book is when Cassie was beating up Lillian Jean. This took place in the middle of “Roll of Thunder, Hear my cry” book. In the movie they did not show it as being an important event. At the end they showed a little flashback of Cassie beating up Lillian Jean. At the beginning
A comparison between both mediums for The Outsiders can be made by showing both of their advantages and disadvantages to show that one of them is better than the other.
In the book miles take the bars down. But in the movie winnie gets miles out of jail. In the book miles and jesse kidnapped winnie. but in the movie it was just miles. In the book the horses got stolen. But in the movie the horses didn’t get stolen.
As well as the movie having some character differences, some of the scenes were either cut out or added. One of the major differences in the movie is that Candy never comes into the room when Lennie and Crooks are talking to each other. This is an important part in the novel because when Candy comes in, Crooks finds about their future plan wants to get in on the deal. Except this scene is cut short in the movie and Candy never shows up at Crooks’ house. Another important part that is changed in the movie is the ending. The movie never shows Lennie have the illusions of his Aunt Carla and the rabbits lecturing him while he is waiting by the pond. Also, is seems as though in the movie George doesn’t hesitate to shoot Lennie, and it is all over very quickly. Furthermore, the important scene when Slim tells George, “You hadda, George” (107), never happens in the movie, but instead it ends with an image coming from within George’s imagination, a memory of the many happy times that he and Lennie had shared. There are also some scenes that are added into the movie, but only because the novel is so short, they needed to add things to make the
Differences (stick with at least four)- Ponyboy has a good relationship with sodapop and gets along better with darry but still has a very good relationship with his brother. In the beginning of the book, Pony gets jumped by some Socs, but he doesn’t get cut with a knife. In the movie, they cut him. In the movie when ponyboy is talking to cherry he says how the sun on the south side and she says”good how bout the north.” In the book it's written west and east. Also in the movie johnny never got his first beating from the soc in the book he does. In the book it gave more detail and information in the movie it starts like in mid way of the book.
When the socs and the greasers are going to have the big rumble in the book Darry asks if anyone wants to fight him but in the movie the person that he fight in both the book and movie says he will fight him. After the big rumble Dally and Ponyboy go to see Johnny who is almost dead and after he dies Ponyboy freaks out in the book and thinks he's not dead but in the movie it is only Dally. In the book Dally goes and robs a grocery store but in the movie he robs the gas station. When Dally leaves in the movie the guy shoots Dally and injures him but in the book he never had a gun. When Dally is shot by the police he is shot at the park in the movie but in the book he is shot in the street under the lamppost. There is so much more differences in the movie but it would be impossible to say them all so that is all of the differences i found from the book and
Here are some differences with the characters. Meg one of the main character's in the book has glasses and braces, but in the movie she doesn't have braces or glasses. Another main character is Charles-Walace and in the book he is five, doesn't go to school, and can't read, but in the movie he is six go's to school, and can read well. These are the differences
For instance, in the book Joppy knew Albright; Albright knew Todd Carter; Todd Carter knew Richard McGee as well as Matthew Terrell whereas in the movie every character denied knowing each other except Albright and Joppy. Another noticeable difference is that in the book Frank Green, Daphne’s brother ends up murdered and in the movie he lives and they both end up moving. The third noticeable difference is a character name change from the book to the movie; Matthew Teran in the book is Matthew Terrell in the movie and he ends up being murdered in the book whereas at the end of the movie he’s running for mayor. A fourth noticeable difference is the pier scene. In the book Albright and Easy meet at the Santa Monica pier and in the movie it is the Malibu pier. And the last most noticeable difference between the book and the movie is that Mouse knows Daphne Monet or shall we call her by her real name Ruby Hanks; however, in the movie the audience never finds that out. In the movie the only true thing you get to know about Daphne is that she is both black and white. Therefore, due to the many differences between the book and the movie it is confusing to the audience since it is almost like dealing with two different stories because of the plot inconsistencies.
A scene that was different was when Jem, Scout and Dill went to go look in the Radley house. One difference in this scene was in the book Jem went back for his pants when they got caught in the fence and they were torn and sewn back together and hung neatly. But in the movie the pants were only hung nicely. Another difference in the scene was the gunshot that happened was miss placed. In the book it happened before Jem went back to go get his pants. But in the movie it happened during Jem going back to the Radley house to get his pants. The final thing that was different was that in the book Jem waited a while before going back to get his pants back so he had to sneak out of the house to get them. And in the movie he didn’t have to sneak out because he just went back to get them right away.
To begin, the first difference I observed between the book and movie is that the movie has a different opening scene than the book. The movie starts out with Ponyboy writing in a composition notebook on a page titled “The Outsiders.” In the book the beginning scene is Pony boy walking
The book and the film were both simular, and yet different in many ways. An example would be, in the film, Ponyboy was walking to the drive-in and meeting Cherri and Marcia. Although in the book, Ponyboy began his journey by telling the readers about his experience about being jumped by the Socs and being threatened. The director probably had some options to pick from to leave out from the movie, and the director chosed this to leave out. Leaving out the part where Ponyboy was jumped was an effective move because without the experience Ponyboy was lost and helpless because he did not know what to do when he and Johnny got cornered in the park by Bob and other Socs.
To Kill A Mockingbird is an phenomenal book written by Harper Lee. The movie is strong but it didn`t get into as much detail as the novel. There were similarities and major differences as well, but the book was just better. The novel had the more detail, it is more dramatic, and everything that happened was not expected.
The book and the movie are also different in many ways. The book had more detail in some things but the movie has a better way of showing it. One of the ways that it is different is in the movie Scrooge sold corn to the three men at the bank but in the book that never happened at all! Another thing that was different between the movie
Normally, when a movie is made about a story in a book the two stories are not exactly the same. The movie is adjusted by adding small details or leaving out some parts in order to make the story more
