Not only is Jessica a faithful Lutheran but she's also a medical assistant at a family practice clinic. Jessica faces a difficult situation one day at work. A woman and her young son walk into the clinic because her boy had fallen in the yard on a sharp object cutting his thigh. The mother lived next door, so it was easiest to bring him where Jessica worked. The poor boy is bleeding pretty badly from the cut of his thigh. Quickly they tied a tourniquet, meanwhile the medical assistant calls an ambulance to transfer the boy to the hospital so that he may be treated properly, and gets the care he deserves. While in the wait for the ambulance, the physician informs the boy's mother that her son is going to need a blood transfusion. The mother then states, “We are Jehovah Witnesses and do not believe in blood transfusions.”
I thought your discussion post this week was great. After looking at exercise 4-4 I completely agree with you that using PRN nurses and working with float nurses is such a smart idea. Decreasing discharge teaching time like the manager wants to do on the unit is unsafe and unethical to patients. The nurses on the unit are doing their part by providing excellent patient care, but reducing education can lead to dangerous outcomes for patients in the long run. Provision 3 of the ANA Code of Ethics (ANA, 2015) states that nurses should promote, advocate, and protect the rights, health, and safety of every patient. By implementing your proposed thoughts I really do believe wait times and patient satisfaction could certainly improve. There are always

After reading the ANA code of ethics there are various aspects that can relate back to nursing informatics. However, the main sections I would like to discuss would be; provisions two, three, seven, eight and nine.
Companies paying for a native advertisement might have certain expectations, but not all of them can be fulfilled. Journalists working in the native advertising sector of any publication should consult to the ethical guidelines concerning acting independently. The SPJ Code of Ethics encourages journalists to resist internal and external pressures that might influence coverage. News organizations should be comfortable in drawing the line when it comes to producing native advertisements and not be intimidated into blurring that line. If the editorial staff of The New York Times stepped in during the creative process of the Airbnb advertisement, they might have had a chance to eliminate the obvious promotion of the company. This would have reduced
Business ethics refers to the consideration of moral decisions and responsibilities in the process of operating a business. Business ethics, practiced throughout the deepest layers of a company, become the heart and soul of the company 's culture and can mean the difference between success and failure. Values drive behavior and therefore need to be consciously stated, but they also need to be affirmed by actions. Ethical business environments are created with foundations of integrity, accountability and commitment.
Thanks for your comment. I think the short time break policy for employees is an interesting topic because nowadays it is not available and suitable for everyone in any company. Usually, it depends on what position you take in the company. Obviously, as a manager in such a big technological company, Rachel has the opportunity and benefit. However, it is still difficult to measure how long should be an appropriate period of time for a manager to take a break in the work time. How about those bottom level workers? If they have different standards of break time, is it equal? Obviously, a part time salesman in Macdonald is disable to take a nap when he is working. Anyway, how to deal with the core of ethic is a very important and necessary
