Jeffrey Dahmer was a disturbed individual, which was evident in his childhood. He had a few friends in elementary school, but by high school was perceived as strange and a loner by his peers. Dahmer’s addiction to alcohol only added to his anti-social behavior and inability to make lasting relationships and connections. Jeffrey was never able to hold down a job for very long. Dahmer held a morbid fascination with bones of dead animals. His father swept some out from underneath the house one day when Dahmer was four, and the young boy loved the sound the bones made. He spent much of his childhood collecting insects and preserving them in jars, dissecting dead animals (mainly roadkill that he picked up), and learning to how to preserve bones
