GUESS THE SHARE PRICE TO WIN THE JAR O’MONEY We will have a “Guess the Share Price” game again this year with an opportunity for the closest “guesser” to win a Jar O’ Money. For every guess we will put a ten-dollar bill into a jar. There will be a jar at each of our three locations. One lucky winner will win the combined “Jars O’ Money” from all three locations. YOU MUST BE PRESENT AT THE SHAREHOLDERS MEETING TO WIN! The more guesses we get, the more money that goes into the Jar O’ Money, the more money the winning “guesser” will receive. The closest guess, WITHOUT going over will be the winner (think…The Price is Right). For this year’s guesses, I want to detail the key factors that affect the Share Price and let you know how we performed
He tells his son that if he can guess the amount of money he is holding within 5% error he can have the money. The son guesses that he is holding 81 cents. The dad opens his hand and displays 90 cents. Did the son guess close enough to receive the money from his father?
Group one: Madame Hoo, “cook,” and Jake Wexler “Bookie,” say they hadn’t come up with an answer, and in a panic Jake tells Madame to say anything “boom” is their answer. Group two: Flora “dressmaker,” and Turtle “financier,” still believe the answer is whoever makes the most money; “$11,587.50” is their answer. Group three: Chris, “ornithologist” and Denton, “intern,” answer “Westing was a good person..” and say no more. At group four Judge, “Judge,” and Sandy, “fired,” say they don’t have an answer though Judge had a strong suspicion. At group five: Grace, “restaurateur,” and Mr. Hoo, “inventor,” gave the answer “Ed Plum.” At group six: Crow, “mother,” and Otis, “deliverer,” Crow is shocked to find someone wrote “mother” as her description when Otis ass for the answer all she does is repeats “mother.” At table seven Doug Hoo, “champ,” and Theo, “writer,” don’t know the answer either so they go with “no answer.” Moving on, at group eight Sydelle, “victim” and Angela, “person” Sydelle gets up to start singing “America the Beautiful” at first Sydelle seems crazy but then each group begins to hear the clues in the song and believe Sydelle and Angela have won. American folktales are something many of us grew up hearing mom or dad read before bed. Johnny Appleseed is a legendary hero of many of these stories, and with good reason. Based on a man named John Chapman, an American pioneer, who wore a pan as a hat and traveled to spread apple trees and compassion to the early Westerners. His vision was to sate hunger issues with blossoming apple trees abounding. Wherever he went, love and peace were spread, and this is shown with his many friends; including Native Americans, settlers, and animals!
People spend money every day on goods and services. Paper with the faces of influential people and numerous values can be found in pockets, parking lots, and many other places. While it may seem that we should keep Grant on the fifty dollar bill it is actually true that Reagan should be the honored image on the fifty dollar bill.
5. A local grocery store was holding a contest to see who could most closely guess the number of pennies that they had inside a large jar. The first six people guessed the numbers 735, 209, 390, 300, 1005 and 689. The grocery clerk said the jar actually contains 568 pennies.
“One of the most important lessons learned was never to assume you’ve won before the simulation is over. We possessed the highest shareholder value for all rollovers except the final round. Our placement dropped to fourth in the final round as a result of poor allocation of funds due to the assumption that we couldn’t be beat.”
The weekly performance of IBM stock presented a contestant growth. One highlight of the falling of stock price in the 6th week in the investment period was when IBM presented the 3rd quarter financial report. The investors weren’t satisfied with the profit report which they expected to be better especially when other IT companies were doing well in the 3rd quarter. One mistake I made was that I didn’t follow closely to the financial report of the company; therefore, I missed the peak of the stock price. From this experience, I learned that financial reports and current news are important indicators of the stock price. By following closely to the current event and analyzing the financial report, investors can maximize the profit and also become more familiar to the market.

Throughout our lives, we have moments that may impact us negatively and/or positively. In the short story “the money” by Junot Diaz we see his mother saving money to send to her parents in the Dominican Republic but his family is already in a struggle to survive. Then there was a turning point for the whole family, they were robbed. Diaz’s mother was enraged by the event “she cursed the neighborhood, she cursed the country, she cursed [his] father, and of course, she cursed [the] kids,” assuming that one of Diaz’s friends or his siblings’ friends had something to do with it (Diaz 3). Diaz suspected one of his friends and he was right. So, he then took it into his own hands and went to steal the money back. Once Diaz retrieved the money, he
