In short she didn't have any specific styles in mind she wanted to order just best sellers in the white, grey, or black possibly one or two new designs. She doesn't want to get into any of the yellow gold or rose platted looking stuff. I know you wanted me to order that one band today so I apologize it didn't happen and if you need to do rush shipping it's totally my fault by the time I realized it it was too late. Duane extended the watch deadline until May the 26th at 2 P.M. so you aren't stressing about that. The new locket is coming in for Bicknell (ticket is in special …show more content…

There are two sides to the story, and it takes demonstration to visualize these points. Economist, Glenn Loury, in his article, “A Nation of Jailers,” portrays the issues among the exclusion of prisoners in society through mass incarceration. By using a variety of rhetorical techniques, he discusses the issue within America and its’ criminal system.
On November 5, 2015 at approximately 1000 hours I took a jail tour of the Santa Cruz Correctional facility on Water Street, with Melinda Payne as my tour guide. There were a few things that stood out to me during the jail tour. First, I observed how clean and orderly the jail was. There were no bad odors and the walls, floors, and windows were well kept. Personally, I try to maintain a clean and organized workspace therefore the jail environment fit me well. Second, I noticed the overall size of facility. The jail is relatively small in size and was broken into different sections. Personally, I like this layout because I believe it allows for better communication to inmates and staff, better response to major incidents, and quick ability to
Glen Loury argues in his essay called “A Nation of Jailer” that the United States is a nation that follows a society that has been affected by racial bias. Loury claims that the people who are targeted by law are racial discriminated. Loury mainly talks about the “poorly educated black and Hispanic men who reside in large numbers in our great urban centers.” (1) Loury has made a clear and strong point. Loury shows his points in three main ways. Loury emphasizes his points by using ethos, logos, and pathos. Loury uses many well-known characters in his writing, and Loury uses strong phrases that impact the reader emotionally and questions to make sure the reader has some sort of connection to Loury’s evidence. Furthermore, Loury gives a lot

Summary: Chapter 2 discusses correctional history. Two French visitors were able to compare and contrast their experience in an American prison. Early punishment in the western countries consisted of whipping, branding, mutilation, drowning, suffocation, execution, and banishment. The first correctional facility were jails and influenced by Catholic Churches in the middle age times. This chapter introduces two individuals that were very influential to the correction system, John Howard, and William Penn. John Howard could persuade the government to lighten the punishment, separate jails for females and males, provide sanitary, food, and water. William Penn served jail time but was released due to wealth. Later in life he was given the opportunity to propose laws & he used this moment to fix how inmates are treated. He was against harsh punishment.
“Jailen is the best player in the nation now bringing new basketball to the game”. “Yeah playing just like his brother used to….maybe even better”. “Jailen had some hard times with his Mom, Dad, and Brother dying all in the same night” “ the game is on the Line 5….4….3….2….1….”.
Can you please review and advise if you wish to make any changes to the order sets?
When a prisoner is released, he or she must establish a new life. Whether the prisoner’s new life is good or bad, it is up to him/her to end up where he/she wants to be. As prisoners are released to society, they begin their lives by finding a job. However, they might not be possible due to their criminal record. They might appear dangerous or a threat, because of their criminal record, when in reality they just made a few mistakes. According to Tyjen Tsai and Paola Scommegna, writers for the Population Reference Bureau, the United States has the highest incarceration rate in the entire world! This is caused by severe sentences for petty crimes such as shoplifting and loitering. The purpose of prisons is to rehabilitate and educate the public about braking the law, yet many prisoners’ crimes are not met with equal sentences but too severe. America has high incarceration rates because of laws making it easy to get into prison, poor rehabilitation programs, and for the incarceration of people whom should not be.
In chapter five of Ironies of Imprisonment, it is evident that there is inadequate healthcare for those incarcerated. Throughout the chapter the different diseases are discussed as well as myths and misconceptions surrounding healthcare behind bars. Furthermore, proposals to spend healthcare dollars on correctional facilities are becoming more unpopular. This is likely because people do not believe that prisoners have equal rights to normal people, and they see them as less human.
Moreover the jail will hire people who are wanted in other states, and pass them fully and not even look into their backgrounds enough to know. This happened with one male CO which was wanted by the police in Kentucky, because of the disappearance of a girlfriend. The one thing I'm trying to get across is, this jail has a very biased system it using for hiring. Sadly by posting this they will more than likely questions my father and sister. Then have both of them, tell me not to post anything about the jail. Because if your family works there you magically lose all first ammendment rights, which I thought we still had in America. The sad but true thing in any job is knowing names, my dad threw out my sisters and got the job. My mother
I learned to be a leader in my house at an early age because I desire to make my family and my life better by successfully continuing my education and finishing a four year university. More importantly, the desire to help my brother Carlos to get a better treatment for his condition, cerebral palsy. Today I contribute to Carlos’s everyday care. In fact, I sometimes shower, dress, feed, entertain and help in giving him therapy for his body palsy.
