Sacajawea is one of the most known American-Indian women. Her voyage with explorers Lewis and Clark was legendary. She was born in Tendoy, Idaho around 1788. She was a member of the Lemhi Shoshone tribe. America was only 12 years old at this time and the territory ended at the Mississippi river. One year after the United States doubled its territory with the Louisiana Purchase, the Lewis and Clark expedition leaves St. Louis, Missouri, on a mission to explore the Northwest from the Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean (History). Even before the purchase was finished, President Thomas Jefferson sent his private secretary Meriwether Lewis and army captain William Clark on an expedition into what is now the U.S. Northwest.
During the sixteenth century Spain had control over land in the Caribbeans and America that was ten times the size of Spain. One of the most famous conquerors was a man by the name of Cortes. His first target was the Aztec Empire one of the richest empires in America. After a very bloody battle Cortes successfully conquered the empire “converting” its people to Christianity and taking their gold. From this Cortes became on of the richest men in the world. This event inspired many others to do the same with many choosing the life of a conquistador to find their riches in the new world. The amount of conquistadors started to make Spain worry if they were to try and rule New Spain and that they were killing more Indians instead of converting
Jared’s five-page thesis paper was written very well, so well that it felt like the story was more of a narrative of events I have never heard of. This will make for a great paper because it grabs the reader and keeps him/her entertained throughout the paper, but there was a lack of material in this paper that should be mentioned. For example, the source material seems a little sparse for this essay. This can be seen by how there are only two sources in Jared’s paper, yet he is writing on a lot of material that feels like is being summarized. This is fine, however, as the assignment was only five pages, so I feel confidant that Jared will maximize the amount of sources he will use. Additionally, there was no historiography mentioned in this
Many people face and are prosecuted with life in prison and are granted no parole. This is a serious punishment that is partnered with equally distressful actions caused by a person or group of people. In Colorado, it is evident that this punishment was dealt out to many minors in a time of panic. According to the video, youth violence was on the rise and such violence was threatening the communities. Personally, I see no reason for a juvenile defendant to receive a drastic punishment like life in prison without parole; however, I do believe that adults (25 years or older) who committed heinous should receive such punishment.
Pojman disagreed with the strong dependency thesis, he reasoned that if we can establish the truth, based on factual or scientific validation, then we can also try to find truth in morality. As science is able to validate its findings through research, moral and truth can also be prove through time and places. As we know slavery was once deemed legal, but in time it was well established and agree upon that owning a person is morally wrong.

The Holocaust was the murder and persecution of six million Jews, Gypsies, Homosexuals, Catholics, and other groups by the Nazi regime. Holocaust is a word of Greek origin meaning “sacrifice by fire.” The Nazis rose to power in Germany in January 1933. The Nazis thought that they were racially superior and that the Jews and everyone else they exterminated were inferior to them. Many novels written about the Holocaust like The Book Thief by Markus Zusak portrayed some of the heroes of the Holocaust. The Hubermann family saved Max Vandenburg, a Jew who went to them for help. Additionally another character Liesel, saved Max’s sanity by reading and talking to him.The real life heroes of the Holocaust against the Nazi regime include Julian Bilecki,

Often remarked as “The Great American Novel”, Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn explores a variety of themes involving race, morality, and religion that tackle the problems he faced in his day. He criticizes religion and its dogma by showing how easily influenced some characters become and Huck’s denial of it to illustrate the hypocrisy and lack of unique search for moral truth for many of its followers. Twain further expands on this negative idea of lacking independent thought by showing examples of groups of people making unwise decisions causing harm to themselves or others because they cannot think for themselves and instead follow the majority around them. Finally, he uses scenes where a single character may make an unoriginal

There seems to be very little evidence fortifying the historical subsistence of the man known to his mother and father as Yeshua Ben Yosef. In fact, there appears no first century secular evidence whatsoever to fortify the fact that he had ever been given life, or even the smallest historical record of his parents residing in Bethlehem, Nazareth, or anywhere for that matter. This presents as peculiarity for a man whom has to this day influenced the lives of millions. Furthermore, if this man never subsisted, how can the majority believe, without a shadow of a doubt, that he had indeed been a physical being of historical consequentiality and thereto fore, dedicate their lives to his Edifications and practices?

One the most distinguished artists of the twentieth century, Jacob Lawrence was born in Atlantic City and spnt part of his child hood in Pennsylvania. After his parents split up in 1924, he went with his mother and siblings to New York, settling in Harlem. "He trained as a painter at the Harlem Art Workshop, inside the New York Public Library's 113 5th Street branch. Younger than the artists and writers who took part in the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s, Lawrence was also at an angle to them: he was not interested in the kind of idealized, fake-primitive images of blacks - the Noble Negroes in Art Deco guise - that tended to be produced as an antidote to the toxic racist stereotypes with which white popular culture had flooded
