Cancer
I am going to inform my audience about cancer and the process the disease goes through in the human body. Cancer starts when cells in the body start to grow out of control. Cancer cells grow differently than normal cells. Instead of the cells dying the cancer cells will continue grow.
My goal is to succeed in this course and gain more knowledge about the disease that caused death to not only people in the world but important people in my life.
I decided to research cancer because cancer took two people who meant the a lot to me. Who influenced me and shaped me into the person am I am today. Also I chose cancer because cancer is so common in united states. In the medical field the doctors that focus on cancer are Oncologists.

Cancer is the second most common cause of death. Some cancer runs in families but most cancers are not linked to the genes we get from our parents. There are more than 100 different types of cancers. Most cancers are named for where they start. For example, Ovarian cancer begins in the ovaries and breast cancer starts in the breast. Breast cancer is the most common cancer that happens to affect women worldwide. Women can still get Ovarian cancer even if their ovaries have been removed.
Ovarian cancer begins in the ovaries. Ovaries are glands found only in females. Women have two ovaries on each side of the uterus. The ovaries are about the size of a almond. Ovarian cancer often goes undetected until it has spread to the pelvis. The last stage of Ovarian cancer is the worst stage because it the most difficult stage to treat. Ovarian cancer found in the earliest
Scientists are sure there are many more they just have not yet been diagnosed. The cancers that are most common in women are breast cancer and cancer of the uterus. The cancers that are most common in men are lung cancer, prostate cancer, and colon cancer. Lung cancer kills more than 50,000 men a year. More men are likely to get lung cancer because in general men smoke more than women. Along with these leading cancers among women and men there are several other cancers that are common in both. Cancers of the colon, rectum, and large intestine kill more than 45,000 Americans a year (Altman and Sang 78). With numbers like that a person may begin to wonder if anyone survives the cancer
Cancer is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, with approximately 14 million new cases in 2012.2 The amount of new cases is expected to rise by about 70% over the next 2 decades. Cancer which causes nearly 1 in 6 deaths, is the second leading cause of death globally, and was responsible for 8.8 million deaths in 2015. Approximately 70% of deaths from cancer occur in low- and middle-income countries. In 2012 about 14.1 million new cases of cancer occurred globally (not including skin cancer other than melanoma).3 The most common types of cancer in males are lung cancer, prostate cancer, colorectal cancer and stomach cancer.
This book begins with two essays on body processes and disease. Many health care professionals fail to realize that the attitudes they carry can help patients in their battle with this disease. In this book the genetic predispositions to cancer are discussed and explained. Also explained are preventative measures such as screenings, therapies, and advice on going about decisions. Another part of the book deals with the religious ways to help cope with the disease and how to not give up hope. In the fourth part of the book discusses how cancer patients can
Give people diagnosed with a life limiting illness, a better understanding of the different types of cancers and management of the issues they may encounter as their disease progresses.
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women, it accounts for one of every three diagnoses in the United States. Breast cancers are malignancies, life threatening tumors that develops in one or both breasts.
You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them. Maya Angelou, Letter to My Daughter “You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.” is a famous quote from Maya Angelou in her book “Letter to My Daughter.” This quote is arguably true. There are many circumstances that people come into face with, some are controllable while others are way out of control.
Cancer is usually a terrifying word. Those who have never received a diagnosis of cancer, likely cannot fathom the anxiety such an event produces. Even forms of cancer that are highly treatable often bring about significant and immediate life changes for patients. Hopefully, the ideas from this article can help to demystify cancer, and make it somewhat easier to cope with the disease and its effects.
I. Attention: There are a number of researches done about breast and ovarian cancer. Breast cancer is the second largest cause of death in women. Ovarian cancer is a lethal gynecological malignancy; although median age of diagnosis is 56 and older (post-menopausal) it can affect women of any child-birthing age. It is the 5th most common cancer diagnosed in the UK with 7,284 new cases in 2013 (Ovarian Cancer Statistics, 2013) Although the incidence is less than that of breast cancer, there is a greater number of deaths (4,271 deaths) associated with it. Almost three-quarters of the ovarian cancer are diagnosed at late stages after tumors have metastasized within the peritoneal cavity.

This article contains much advice on helping cancer patients cope with the deadly disease.
I chose this topic because I have an interest in science and the human body. Also, when I am older I wish to work in scientific research, researching diseases. This essay will give an insight into the different ways that cancer is researched, treated and the ways that the risk of cancer is reduced.
There are many ways that you can get cancer. You can get cancer from smoking, sunlight, your diet, mold, viruses, and inheritance. Breast cancer and ovarian cancer are both very serious and devastating diseases. The National Cancer Institute estimates that more than 250 thousand people will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and over 40 thousand will die from the disease.
