Russell Westbrook plays with great energy and pride, but there are more amazing qualities that make up this man. I will share with you several noteworthy facts about Russell Westbrook. He had began to get scouted by top colleges since his Junior year in high school. After high school he was awarded a scholarship to play for the UCLA Bruins. During his freshman year of college he only started one game, but played in 36 games. He was more of defensive and energizing player in his first year, not yet a dominating force, but in his second year he was named a starter for UCLA. He started and played in 34 games. In his first year he scored 122 points, but in his second year he scored an impressive 493 points, and that adds up to a grand total of 615 points. His first ever NBA triple double was in March 2009 with dominating stats of 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. In his rookie year he averaged 15 points, 5 assists, 9 rebounds, and 1 steal. The main reason they won so many more games was because of Larry Bird. Bird was not just a shooter, he was also a great passer and rebounder too, which in turn made his teammates better as a whole.
