In Westbrooks first year in the nba he recorded very good numbers averaging fifteen points per game with plenty of assists and rebounds to go along with them. Another achievement for Russell was making NBA all rookie first team. By Westbrooks third season he could officially be called a star in the nba leading his team to the 2011 western conference finals. Although Westbrook averaged quite a bit of points against the miami heat in this series it was no match for the heat’s super team. Later on after the playoffs Westbrook played for the USA men's basketball team and won his first olympic gold medal.
During the 2013 playoffs Russell suffered a career threatening injury when he tore his meniscus. Westbrook would end up sitting out most of the regular season. Introduction: Since the departure of Kevin Durant leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder (OKC for short) to the 73-9 Golden State Warriors, Russell Westbrook now a lone star in Oklahoma has been taking the league by storm averaging a triple double this season with (31.4 pts, 10.6 reb, 10.3 ast). This feat haven’t happened in over 55 years since “The Big O” Oscar Robertson who played for the Cincinnati Royals averaging a triple double in the 1961-62 season with a staggering average of 30.8 points, 11.4 assists, and 12.5 rebounds. However, by acknowledging the fact that this output hasn’t happened in over 55 years, I believe that James Harden in the Houston Rockets will win the MVP race. As much as I like Russell Westbrook to win the 2017 MVP award,
Durant entered the league a year before Westbrook did. They started their careers together and eventually became one of the most dynamic duos in the league. In 2012 they led their team to the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat but were blown out in five games. A union that lasted over eight years was finally over, Durant had a new home and was off to a new journey. Westbrook’s rampage began after hearing he signed with the Warriors. Westbrook was in disbelief, of all things Durant was a Warrior. He had left to the team that had just beat them. Many saw this as a downfall for the Thunder, but all

I know that hard work got me here. And the day I stop working hard, this can all go away.Kevin Durant is one of the most talented basketball player I know he works hard every day. When KD plays he averaged 28 points per game. KD played for OKC but this year got drafted by Golden State. He has been increasing with the hard work he does the stats show that he is better than Lebron James right now Kevin Durant is 6’9.
Whenever the Thunder play I mainly watch Russell Westbrook. He sticks out because he wears two padded white arm sleeves. He also sticks out because he is mainly above the rim during the game. Westbrook will usually use his aggressive attitude to get an and- one on a dunk. Russell will usually get a triple-double.
