MVP or Bust You watch your favorite player all year long and now he is in the MVP race, you are all hyped, but what if he didn't win? Now that's why I'm here to explain you why Aaron Rodgers is the number one candidate for the NFL MVP. So, first I will be telling you his stats from the 2016 regular season. Then, we will compare those stats to the one of his previous MVP season in 2014. Finally, we will compare him to the other MVP candidates and explain why he should be the NFL MVP. Time to hit the field and go over the stats that put Rodgers in the MVP race. But before we start you are probably wondering to yourself why these stats are important. The NFL MVP is chosen off of who had the most outstanding season compared to all the other players …show more content…
There are three others players who pose a threat to Rodgers in the MVP race, they are Matt Ryan, Oak Prescott, and Ezekiel Elliot (NFL). First let's cover Matt Ryan, he also had an outstanding season I have to give him that, but was it really that good as it makes out to be? He had two less touchdowns than Rodgers the same amount of interceptions and only won one more game than the Packers while also throwing 516 more yards (ESPN). He had some outstanding games but not an outstanding season. Now we'll move onto Oak Prescott. Honestly I don't see how a quarterback with under 4,000 passing yards and only twenty three touchdowns could even be considered for MVP (ESPN). Yes he did bring Dallas to a 13-3 record compared to the 4-12 season they had last year and while only throwing four interceptions as a rookie, but still those are not MVP stats (NFL). You can bring up that he is a rookie and brought his team to 13-3, but you can also say the same about Rodgers bringing his team from 4-6 to 10-6 and making the playoffs when everyone thought the Packers season was over (NFL). Alright now, let's go on to probably the biggest threat to Rodgers in winning MVP, Ezekiel Elliot. He has had an outstanding rookie season leading the league in rushing yards and third in rushing touchdowns (ESPN). The last time a running back won MVP was
Tom brady has more touchdowns than Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman Combined. Tom brady has won the super bowl 4x and he has more playoff wins than 21 other franchises. He owns the playoffs with multiple passing and wins records. He is about to pass Brett favre on the all time wins list and he’s in the top 5 of almost all passing categories. I think Tom brady is better than any other quarterback in history.
Have you ever wondered what is the same and different between Teddy Bridgewater and Aaron Rodgers? Teddy Bridgewater is on the MN Vikings whereas Aaron Rodgers is on the Green Bay Packers. They both play in the NFL and are both quarterbacks. Some people like Aaron Rodgers more than Teddy Bridgewater. And some people like Teddy Bridgewater more.
“In 1977, led the Nfl with the most yards rushed in a single game, with 275 yards against the Minnesota Vikings” (the editors of encyclopedia Britannica). At the Jackson State University, Walter John Payton rushed 3500 yards and scored more than 450 points. Nobody could beat his record. Payton was the youngest player ever to receive the Mvp award. Not only did Payton play running back but he played many other positions. Payton is the best running back of all time.
Aaron Rodgers has had many accomplishments during his career so far. First, in 2010 Aaron Rodgers lead the Green Bay Packers to Super Bowl. Packers won the Super Bowl and Aaron Rodgers won Super Bowl MVP. In addition to winning MVP Rodgers has many record is career. One of the best records he set his NFL passer Rating. First off it all comes down to who has the better career. Both Mike Trout and Bryce Harper have had simply great careers so far. Both made there MLB debuts in 2012. Since then Mike Trout has appeared in five all-star games and Bryce has only appeared in four. Trout is a two time AL MVP while Harper is sitting with one MVP award. To achieve an MVP award you must outperform everyone in your league. You need more home runs, RBI’S, etc. But in 2012
Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers is better than the Chicago’s Jay Cutler. Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks in the league; Cutler is the opposite. The Green Bay quarterback has a superior passing game to Cutler’s. Rodgers has the best touchdown to interception ratio in NFL history. There is hardly a game I’ve seen in which Cutler hasn’t thrown an interception.
There are very few people (those few being Alabama fans) who will not call Deshaun Watson one of the best College quarterbacks of the decade. When we look at the way he played against Alabama in the Championship game, especially in the fourth quarter when he let the Tigers to a stunning win, all of his stats point to the NFL. But, so did Tim Tebow, Mr. Football Johnny Manziel, and Vince Young.
Jordy Nelson is a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers, and he and Aaron Rodgers make magic together on the field. The only problem is that Nelson got injured last season. He was ready to start this season, and everyone was hopeful. But during week one he was injured again. It might be time to dump Nelson for someone else.
The first reason why Aaron Rodgers is the most talented QB in the NFL is because he puts up the best stats. He has a 104.1 career Q.B.R and has had 7 seasons with a
Brett Favre was more than just the starting quarterback in the Green Bay community and organization. He was face of the franchise, and a living legend in the national football league. Before Favre’s arrival to Green Bay, The Packers had only five winning seasons between the years of 1968 and 1991. In Brett’s sixteen NFL seasons with Green Bay, they recorded just one losing season. With the Packers Brett won three consecutive MVP awards coming in 1994, 1995, and 1996. He was nominated
In order for Cam Newton to get the respect he deserves, the media has to learn to accept that Cam is here to stay and is an elite talent. How many teams are still undefeated in the NFL this season? There is only one and it just so happens to be Cam Newton’s Panthers. With the season that Cam has had, he should be a near lock for MVP, but the media still keeps bringing up other names like Tom Brady. What people fail to realize is that Newton is putting up these numbers with very few receivers. Ted Ginn is the number one receiver for the Panthers and he has never been more than a number three option in his career. Newton does have a great tight end in Greg Olson, but for the most part is single handedly carrying this team with his legs and his arm. It is time for Newton to be put in the positive spotlight. Super Cam is good for the NFL and good for the African American community. He broke the mold and proved that an African American can be a great quarterback in the NFL and have a ton of fun while doing it. Next time you see number 1 flashing that contagious smile and celebrating a big touchdown, embrace it because we are witnessing something

For instance, he also has led the Patriots from a losing team to a winning team. With Tom Brady starting at quarterback the Patriots have never had a losing season (Doeden). In addition, he also has broken records for his stats. One of the records he broke was the best Touchdown to interception ratio of 28-2, because of this he wants to play until he is fourth eight (Reyes). At this years Super Bowl he had a great game. One of the team’s biggest strengths is their powerhouse offense. But the man under center is what makes that powerhouse offense run. That man is Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks in the league if not the best. His statistics are unbelievable. He has the highest quarterback rating in NFL history at 103.8, while the second closest is 98.9. He has thrown 300 touchdowns to only 74 interceptions. That being a 4:1 touchdown to interception ratio, also the best in NFL history. One of his most impressive streaks was his success at home. In 2015, he threw an interception at home. The last one he threw at home before that was in 2012. He went three years without throwing an interception at home. Truly a remarkable feat. In 2011, Aaron had one of the best seasons
