What did I do to prepare my informative speech? I spent a lot more time on this speech than my last one. I practice maybe like 5 times because I wanted to know that what I had written down was the correct way to inform my peers. I had to spend more time on this because it was about something I like and I really wanted to inform my peers about a part of my life. How did I feel when I was up in front of my peers? I felt fine, a lot better than my last speech, I think it was because I practiced more, and going up there it doesn’t matter if people are or aren’t interested in what you are talking about. After the first speech it made the next one more comfortable for me because the same people that watched me the first time watched me again and I felt more confident in what I was going to say. …show more content…
My voice, that is my strongest aspect of my speeches, my voice is what gets the people to pay attention and to stay interested because if you are mumbling it gets boring, for me I talk loud so everyone stays interested in what I am talking about. Another thing is my eye contact, I know I did well on that, I used to never want to look up because speeches scared me, but now I’m fine and can look around. After I was done with my speech how did I feel? I felt good, but kind of awkward at the same time. The topic I was talking about made it kind of awkward, mostly because no one really knew what I was talking about. I felt confident after my speech because I got through it, and had a good time which I was worried about to. Everything went well and I was happy with that. I did well on really giving detail, letting everyone know what exactly sony vegas is. I need to work on maybe adding more detail, for sure not sway back and forth during my speech. I need to work on still being more prepared, maybe expand a little
Secondly, I think I need to improve on my transition. This is important, because it helps tie my speech together. Thirdly, I need to use more positive visualization. Before starting my speech, instead of thinking "I'm going to be terrible out there" I need to imagine myself getting tons of laughs while presenting with the
Baby Blues, the most common and mildest form of mood disorder can last up to two weeks after having a baby without the mother needing treatment.
One of the things I noticed in my speech was how many times I looked at the screen. I didn’t realize how many times I looked at my prop until I watched myself on video. It was distracting and took away from what I was saying to my audience. Additionally, I feel like I could have improved speaking about the different experiments performed. I feel like they were rushed and I should have stuck to talking about only one or two experiments instead. With my time being rushed, I feel like I couldn’t explain as much of the experiments as I wanted to or as in depth. Lastly, I should have worked on the conclusion for my speech. I wasn’t able to come up with a good conclusion, so it felt as if I left some of the speech left hanging. I mentioned ethical issues performed in the experiments without actually going over it in the speech. Next time, I know I will come up with a solid ending and just wrapping up ideas I already went over in class. I know that for my persuasive speech, I will work on my eye contact, slowing down, and coming up with a solid ending.
During the speech, I was also a good speaker in many ways. I had a good voice projection, my hand moment was consistent, I was always facing the audience and held eye contact, and had facial expressions to emphasize the importance of a topic. Right off the bat when I was explaining my citation saying According to the U.S Census Bureau “there are alone 5.7% Asian’s in the United States,” I was pointing my hands to make sure everyone was paying attention to the numbers. Another thing I did well during the speech was, that I kept eye contact with everyone during the speech
Six months ago, corporate daycare facilities were cleaning out my bank account. I was losing the ability to pay for gas, rent and my utilities because all my money was going towards my son’s weekly daycare tuition. My parents could help me scrap on by here and there but that wasn’t there responsibly. It was then that my mother suggested that I should look into putting my son into a local licensed in home daycare facility opposed to a major corporate daycare facility. I was a little skeptical at first, but I
Also, there were some difficulties that came about during my speech, one of those difficulties being inadequate direct eye contact. During the length of the speech there were not many time where I looked up and talked directly to my classmates. Something I could have done better to improve this would be to practice even more to ensure that I wouldn’t need to look at my notecards and slides as often. I also could have practiced when to look up and have a successful glance at my audience to have improved eye contact.
Purpose: After listening to my speech, the audience will be more educated on Texas’s roadside attractions, as well as relate to the sites I will discuss in my presentation.
I. (Gain attention and interest) Many of us have encountered 3D technology at one point in our lives such as the red and blue comics usually found at the back of magazines, or a have watched a 3D movie at IMAX. It is with no doubt that, we all find this technology to be a fascinating one.
This Cartel was the main rival of Medellin and were more modest in their endeavors in drug trafficking—their approach to running their “business” was far more advanced and refined than the Medellin’s approach.

Transition signal: In conclusion, the next time you fill up your gas tank might not be cheaper, but at least you will know why you are paying more for gas.
I have learned to project my voice better, while maintaining a firm position. These things have help me focus more on giving the speech than worrying about myself. I still need to work on calming myself down during my speech. I will be able to do this by collecting my thoughts beforehand and remind myself that I know my topic. I am giving the speech to let people know what I know about my topic.
This really helped me to find my confidence and taught me how to get rid of the nerves that comes with public speaking. There is always room to improve and through the speech classes I took throughout high school I feel like I improved in my speaking skills. One of my strengths is being good at preparation. Preparation is a very important factor in making a good speech. Knowing your audience, your topic, and knowing how to organize a speech properly is something I find to be a strength. Another strength of mine that I previously stated is knowing how to get through any nerves that I have. My weaknesses of public speaking include my newly developed stutter, talking too fast, and not speaking super clearly. With speeches I am much better at putting the speech together rather than actually giving
