The Indus River Valley is the best civilization out of Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, and of course the Indus River Valley. I think this and believe this for many reasons. One reason is that the Indus River Valley created a sewer system. Also, they build a big grain bin that held all of their grain. There are some other things that the Indus River Valley created.
The Indus River Valley created a sewer system. They were the first civilization to have a system like this. This helped keep their city a lot cleaner than it was without one. It really helped because their system was underground. This is one of the reasons I think the Indus River Valley is the best.
I also think the Indus River Valley is the most outstanding because they had a huge grain
Ancient Egypt was a captivating and intricate civilization. Over the years, historians have found it easier to study this civilization, rather than other historical civilizations, because the Egyptians went through great lengths to record their history. Besides being decent record keepers, they were very religious, and “ahead of their time,” due to their technological and economic breakthroughs. Because of the aspects of this culture, it has to be one of the greatest civilizations of the world.
The River Valley in Southwest Asia became the home of some great early civilizations. Some of these civilizations include Mesopotamia, Egypt, and China. Many great contributions in architecture, government, writing, and many other subjects came from each of the previous civilizations listed. Without the civilizations, many agricultural advances that occurred over the years may have taken much longer, and possibly never happened. All of the contributions took a lot of effort mentally to create such as new writing systems or designing the pyramids. The many contributions from each civilization certainly helped the whole world in many ways.
I chose the Mesopotamia and the Nile River Valley. These two civilizations are two of the most favorable ancient civilizations. Although these civilizations are similar in many ways, the small, but impacting differences it what makes these two civilizations stand out the most. The Nile River Valley was located in northern Africa in a country called Egypt. Mesopotamia was located in modern day Iraq, Iran, Syria, Kuwait, and parts of Turkey. The origin of Mesopotamia comes from the meaning “between two rivers.” The land is between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Defining moments for human civilization began within these two.
The Indus River Valley civilization is the largest among the other three civilizations, Mesopotamia, Egypt, and China, with a population of over five million people, covering land
Joseph Bazalgette built London’s current sewage system in the 1960’s and, at the time of construction, they stopped the spread of Cholera which was rapidly spreading amongst Londoners at the time. The system also brought an end to the Great Stink of London. (BBC History, 2016)
Ancient river valley civilizations are one of the earliest societies in the world. The rises of these ancient river valley civilizations started the first cradle of civilization. The Indus Valley Civilization, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Mesopotamia, and Ancient China are the earliest civilizations that were successful enough to make enough food for everybody. Every one of these civilizations had three things in common: they all had a special relationship with the river, they created their own writing system, and they all relied on trade.
The civilizations of the Nile River valley, the Mesopotamia valley, and Indus Valley marked human progress toward fixed settlements and the development of a rich culture. These civilizations shared many characteristics that contributed to their success. What made these civilizations unique were the contributions that each one gave to the world. They contributed their own ideas and accomplishments in the areas of religion, science, and mathematics. These contributions defined each civilization and how they would be remembered, as well as, their importance to the world.
In chapter 6 of Earth's in his people's we begin to see the similarities between the first civilizations like Mesopotamia and Egypt in which around roughly the same time The Fairly large Indus Valley Civilization Rose during the same time period as the first civilizations. Liking other civilizations the Indus Valley Civilization had huge cities, with the two most famous ones being Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro in which archaeologist show that the cities were very organized with their Construction and standardization of styles and shapes of the things they built such as houses churches statues and many other things. The Indus Valley people had like other countries developed many sophisticated Technologies and works of art and unique buildings however,
The first topic of comparison is the prospect of culture and environment in each society. Due to cultural diffusion amongst the civilizations, except geographically isolated China, among other factors, it can be deduced that the civilizations had many similar practices. However, each society boasted distinctive qualities. Early Mesopotamia, known by the moniker of “the land between the rivers,” was a fertile plain settled near the Tigris and Euphrates rivers located in the Fertile Crescent. All of the river valley civilizations settled near a river. Egypt settled near the Nile; the Indus Valley
There were four main ancient River Valley civilizations: the Fertile Crescent of Mesopotamia, the Nile River of Egypt, the Indus River of India, and the Yellow River of China. These civilizations showed specific similarities and contrasting differences. Many of these differences and similarities showed up in the three categories of the technological advances, the types of government, and the geography of the civilization. Two civilizations that are very interesting to delve deeper into and study the contrasting societies are China and Egypt. Since China and Egypt were both isolated from the outside, they developed with a strong focus on technology and learning with strong governments to hold the nations together.
The early river valley civilizations did many things in their time that affected the future today. The early river valley civilizations were the first to use a written language, develop laws and beliefs, and also had many innovations that affect today's world. All of the civilizations contributed to different categories including writing, laws, and innovation to affect the future with setting their own rules and invention.
Ancient Mesopotamia and ancient Egypt are two of the earliest and greatest civilizations to ever exist. They both show the transition from a Paleolithic society into a settled civilization. Nevertheless, Mesopotamia has been a worldwide centre of awe and amazement . The first written language created by the Sumerians of ancient Mesopotamia became the first means of of written communication for humankind. The spread of agriculture created a new way of life and evolved man from nomadic hunters into civilized people . Most important of all, the creation of the wheel opened up a new way for transportation to be carried out. Between both civilizations, it ancient Mesopotamia left the greatest impact on posterity.
The Mesopotamia was a large part of a larger region called the Fertile Crescent. Many of these Civilizations depended heavily on the rivers for survival. The Persians empire stretched from beyond the Nile river. Ancient Egypt civilization were mostly Polytheistic and and they made the writing system called Hieroglyphics .The Sumerians had a really organized culture. The decline of Sumer was caused by external pressure and later the conquerors adapted many Sumerian cultural traditions. The fall of Indus valley was when trade stopped with the Mesopotamian and internal pressure occurred. The indus Valley took its last hit when Aryans invaded it with more advanced weapons.
The Sumerians were the most successful ancient civilization. The first reason is they created the first written language. The second reason is they achieved many things. The last reason is that they invented many things.
Indus valley civilization was the most widespread amongst the other Bronze Age civilization, which flourished in the basins of Indus River.
