“Everything I was dreaming of is gone.” Those are the words of Abdullah Kurdi, whose wife and two children drowned after the small boat that was supposed to take them from Turkey to the Greek island of Kos had capsized. Abdullah Kurdi was ultimately trying to get his family to a better life in Canada when it all went wrong and he lost everything. Since Alan Kurdi’s little body washed up on a Turkish beach on September 3, his photos have taken the world by storm.

The person I am doing for my essay is Wesley Isenhour (my dad). He has a wife named Liane and two kids named Macy and Maddy. He works for the United States postal service and does reviews on post offices all around North Carolina. The reason I chose my dad is because he always makes people smile and makes everyone's day better. He is one of the best people in my life and is always there for me. Ibtihaj Muhammad is the first female Muslim Olympian, and is an American sabre fencer for Team USA. She plans to wear a hijab when competing at the Rio Olympics.

In the North American business, Gregory James Aziz is one of the most recognizable people. He was born on April 30, 1949 in London, Ontario. Gregory J Aziz was educated at Ridley College. Later on, he studied Economics at Western University, Ontario.

Khalif Browde is a young African American man who was arrested at the age of 16 for allegedly stealing a backpack. He was imprisoned for three years on New York's Riker Island without trial and spent most of his time in solitary confinement isolated by himself. On May 15,2010, at the age of 16, Browder and his friends were stopped by multiple police cars coming from a party. Browder was under the impression that this was a routine stop and frisk, which he has experienced on various occasions.

Mohammed Ali was born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born into a middle class family. While being born into the segregated south he showed that he was not afraid of anyone, In the ring nor out of the ring. But everything changed when someone stole his bike. He told a cop he wanted to beat up the thief. “Better Learn how to fight first” said the officer. Later on Ali Started to work with the cop who trained young boxers.

I had the opportunity to interview Mohammed Iman. Mohammed is a 32-year-old originally from Somalia, who moved to the United States 5 years ago, to be with his wife. Before moving to The United States, Mohammed was living and attending school in Egypt. Mohammed has lived, what he describes, a very fulling life, with an optimistic future. His story is one of love, compassion, and resilience.

When one looks to the village of Deir el-Medina one is given a few indications of every day life of Ancient Egyptians. Mainly workmen and their families occupied the village (except when Akhenaten was in power). Evidence from this village gives us insight into the economy of everyday man in ancient Egypt as well as how the workers lived. We are even given evidence of a strike. All of this cuts away the modern misconception of Egyptian workers in the guise of slaves.

At the age of sixteen, Amir Ronaghi bravely decided to come to the United States for more educational and lifestyle opportunities. Like most Iranians, this hard process included living abroad for a few years to get a VISA, for him Austria, later moving to the United States to endure many adversities before success. Despite the obstacles, Amir knows how to balance fun and hard work. For instance, every Sunday, he never fails to play soccer, additionally traveling to play on a medical soccer team. While traveling to foreign places, Amir enjoys photography, especially with his family near a beautiful or significant site. Towering at over 6 feet tall with a smile as bright as the sun, Amir Ronaghi is extremely caring and humble while inspiring others to work hard for a better future.

How would you react to someone criticizing your religion? Would you hate them or defend them, in the name of the First Amendment? This is a question people have been pondering after listening to Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s various interviews and speeches. Ayaan is a Somali-born woman who fled to the Netherlands when she was around 23, to escape the marriage her father had arranged for her to her cousin. She is known as a big criticizer of the religion of Islam, and this is largely in part because of her own experiences (which you will learn about later in this paper). Ayaan possesses many qualities that would make people follow a leader: she shows bravery and perseverance in continuing to speak out about her opinions on Islam, even though many people

Hadir Saad grew up in Twin Falls Idaho during 2008 till 2016 with his mother,father,and two brothers. Hadir saad always had a passion for soccer ever since he was a little boy.Hadir Saad was featured here in The Time News website and newspaper along with other news outlets.

There are times when a person becomes ill. They tried many different remedies to assist in their illness. A die hard worshipper of God would petition the help from the Father first then seek medical assistance. If the Bible speaks of the many healings that God did before. I would assume that He is capable of doing it again and again. Every situation that we encounter is a test of our faith in the powers of God. Sometimes things may come in a sudden manner and shake the core of our being. But with God as an enter Spirit within us He quickly brings the mine in check with His words and His miracles.

That day that me, Ibtihaj Muhammad, Mariel Zagunis, and Dagmara Wozniak won third place in the fencing area of the Olympics was the happiest day of my life.Not only was it a great achievement for myself and my team it also marked the first medal for the U.S. in women's fencing.We as a team didn't as much attention before we won third place.Until Ibtihaj earned some popularity by wearing her hijab while she was competing.Ibtihaj used her previous fame to try and clear up any misconceptions people had about Muslim American women.She even stated that she did not only do it for herself but for people all around the world.Before the game Ibtihaj said that this was a great moment for Team USA to be more diverse then ever before.

Hi Shamaiah, I am also an alumni from University of Cincinnati, I graduated in 1998. I live in northern part of Cincinnati. During the post-classical period, the religion of Islam was on the rise in many areas that are now the present-day Arabian Peninsula, Northern Africa, and the Iberian Peninsula. Under this religion, many philosophers were born in the Muslim Empire. These philosophers used reason to explain the beliefs of Islam and derive meaning from the Qur’an. One of the most notable philosophers of this time period was Ibn Rushd who advanced the idea of using reason along with the faith of Islam to explain the faith of Islam. Ibn Rushd’s teachings are also relevant today as they were during the post-classical period of world history.
