Possessing a motivated and ambitious mindset, I have spent the last three years of high school constantly stimulating all aspects of my mind. In my freshman year, I have taken gifted courses as well as a rigorous double mathematics course. This exemplifies my willingness to step out of my comfort zone from the beginning of high school despite an unfamiliar environment. I have progressively increased the intensity of my courses throughout my high school career, with AP United States History in 10th grade, and AP Calc BC, AP Biology, and AP Computer Science in 11th grade. I have scored almost straight A+’s my entire high school career, even in the most challenging courses.
Aside from my respectable grades, I am overflowing with wonder and an excited spirit to participate in many extracurriculars. My course load did not hinder me from participating in sports, for I am looking to participate on the tennis team for my fourth year this fall. I am also a National Honor Society member, and I am the vice president of the Environmental Club. I have been a member of Mathletes, third place medal winner of Science Olympiads, Multi-Cultural Club, Reading Olympics, Community Service Club, JSA, Model UN, and Kick Butt Generation. Outside of

With two Syrian parents, I am an avid Syrian rights activist that gathers support and contributes help to the innocent civilians targeted in the civil war. I contribute to this cause by volunteering many hours at the Narenj Tree Foundation, an organization that assists Syrian refugees. Furthermore, I attended numerous rallies in the past at the White House. I even fundraised in my school to spread awareness of the human rights violations happening in that area. My transcript doesn’t do justice for my compassion and awareness of societal injustices and human rights abuses. Because of Syria, I became in touch with the pressing issues of the world, especially in that
Working with children and supporting their learning is my passion. I have always been inspired by the opportunity teaching offers each child to reach their full potential; which understandably plays a crucial part in children achieving lifelong learning.
I have many hobbies and I am involved in many extracurricular activities. I play the clarinet and
I am a committed and determined individual who works hard to achieve my goals. Besides various athletic accomplishments, I also excel in the classroom maintaining an accumulative 3.95 GPA. This shows I can manage my time well and prioritize. I have also been credited as a great leader on and off the playing
Last year, I received a commendable G.P.A of 4.4. This proves that I not only take difficult courses like Honors and Ap classes, but also contribute great amount of hard work and dedication to overcome those challenges and succeed. Other than my transcript, I received man recognition for my academic achievements. I attended many Honor Rolls and received Academic Letter Award every year. In addition, I also participated in competitions, like Junior Math Leagues, Science Fair, and NHD(National History Day), to test my knowledge in academics. I competed in the Science Fair and won first place in school division. In NHD, I have received first place in school, district, and state competition. By participating in these competition, it motivates me to strive higher. Lastly, I am a member of NAHS(National Art Honor Society), NSHS(National Spanish Honor Society), NMHS(National Math Honor Society), and Tri M Music Honor Society. This demonstrates my high interest and excellence in all four subjects: Art, Spanish, Math, and
I did not list any activities because I am a student that receives my education from multiple sources. I attend classes at my local high school, George Wythe and also at Wytheville Community College. In addition, some of my course work is taught on line and the professor is telecast to our computers. I am a member of National Honor Soceity through my accaemics at the high school, but I also am a member of Phi Theata Kappa through the community college. I have been able to obtain two honor society memberships since I am a dual enrollment student. However, I have participate in many academic and extracurricular activities. I have amassed numerous amounts of knowledge which will assist me in my future endeavors. I have accrued hundreds of
Throughout the duration of my high school career, I have participated in a multitude of various extracurricular activities including Varsity volleyball, club volleyball, National Honor Society, Key Club, and Mathletes. I believe that I have involved myself in this wide range of activities in order to enjoy the company of individuals who appreciate the importance of both academics and athletics as much as I do. Personally, academics have always been a top priority of mine as a result of my parents placing such a significant importance on grades as a child. Consequently, I have participated in organizations such as National Honor Society and Mathletes where I surround myself with others similar to myself that follow a certain academic standard.
I believe that National Junior Honors Society can use an excellent student such as myself. Many of my teachers say that I am a hard worker with an amazing attitude. In sixth grade I attended Cambridge Academy and was elected President of my school, even though it was my first year there. I encouraged classmates by competing with them to see who gets the better grade. During my time of presidency I read the morning announcements. At assemblies I led the pledge of allegiance. Student council and I volunteered at the United Food Bank and helped sort food. Finally, I helped organize school activities and dances. I enjoy playing most sports. During sport activities I am often elected captain. Last year I was on the football team and even if we
I’ve participated in 3 sports teams since freshman year. I tried out for and joined Cross-Country in August of 2015 and was put on the Freshman-Sophomore team. This year I made it to the 2016 IHSA 2A Cross Country Sectional Champions. I tried out for and joined the women’s basketball team in October of 2015 and this year I was nominated for and became captain of the Junior Varsity team. I tried out for and joined Track & Field in March of 2015 and I have been on the Varsity team since freshman year. I participate in the 100 and 200 meter dashes, low and high hurdles, long jump, triple jump, and shot put. I made it to the 2017 Indoor City Championships for long and triple jump. I am in Key Club, African-Culture and Dance, Recycling Club, Science Olympiad, and Latin Honor Society.
The contributions I have made to my school include participating in volleyball from the fall of 2014 to present. For volleyball, we have collected food for the food pantry, conducted a youth night to teach younger children the fundamentals of volleyball, and a breast cancer awareness night which included raising money to fund breast cancer research. I also participate in dance and softball. For the 2016 softball season I was chosen for the spirit award because of my positive attitude and energy during games and practices. Through hard work and dedication the dance team won conference champs at the 2016 conference competition. I was chosen by my coaches for the Limitless Leader Award and the Sportsmanship Award in 2015 and last year. I have earned a varsity letter in
I am dedicated to staying involved in many clubs and programs in my school. Right now I am currently in baseball, choir, Science National Honor Society, National Honor Society, Ruckus and Rowdy, student council, and in our school musical production, Footloose, as a main acting role. My most prominent talents are in baseball and choir. I have been in baseball since I was 3 years old and have always been an athletic kid compared to my peers. I continue to practice and try my best in baseball and despite always trying new sports and activities, I have never skipped a baseball season. Baseball has taught me the importance of teamwork, taking constructive criticism, respect for coaches and teammates, and persistence in improving. In the past two
I have challenged myself all throughout high school with Honors and AP classes, but I have gone beyond the classroom to further challenge myself. For instance, in the genetics-based research program, I was tasked with many scenarios in which I had to use my problem solving and reasoning skills to make the appropriate decisions for many laboratory experiments. Additionally, I had to interpret the results of the experiments in context with what I was attempting to prove through the experiment. Within my high school, I am also part of the National Honors Society through which I help the community’s schools with tutoring sessions. TCNJ’s Honors Program will allow me to continue pushing myself to the peak because of all of its challenging courses and opportunities. All throughout high school I have been challenging my academic capabilities and I wish to continue to do so as I continue to TCNJ.
During my high school career, I was extremely fortunate to have access to countless opportunities that allowed me to explore my interests and passions as well as discovering my strengths and weaknesses. Most of these opportunities stemmed from my acceptance into the esteemed Virginia Commonwealth Governors School (CGS) program at my high school. This program consisted not only of a rigorous curriculum made up entirely of honors, advanced placement, and dual enrollment classes, but also allowed me to challenge myself by being surrounded by twenty-nine other high performing classmates who never failed to push the limits and think outside the box. During this time, I experienced tremendous personal growth as I was thriving academically. I emerged
Getting a GED diploma is very difficult at my age. I am 40 years old and the years without any other responsability other than being a good student and helping around the house are gone.
Upon entering high school, I made a goal to myself: I wanted to become a better version of myself, realizing my own strengths and weaknesses and, ultimately, preparing to be a part of a completely different atmosphere beyond high school and even college. From the beginning, I knew I was going to find a way to improve academically, as a member of Kingsway’s STEM Academy and Superintendent’s List throughout my high school career. However, I would never think that I, as an eighth grader, would ultimately rise above my classmates, eventually being third in my class freshman year and still enjoying the rigor of taking as many AP and Honors classes as I possibly could fit in my schedule. By being recognized and awarded for my achievements, I finally realized that being this type of student, one that strives to do the best and remains self-motivated no matter what difficulties are faced, gives me a purpose as student and overall enjoyment.
