Being the president of the United States is one of the most prestigious and difficult jobs. The fate of millions of people rests in their hands. The president is the leader of their country. A good leader can bring prosperity wile a bad leader could bring death to a nation. James David Barbers article, “The Presidential Character: Predicting Performance in the White House” addresses types of leadership and how the president’s personality can affect their success in office. The premise of Barber's argument in The Presidential Character is that he believes presidential personalities fall into four categories and combinations of activity, passivity, positivity, and negativity and those personality combinations can be indicative of presidential performance.

The president is constantly looking toward the state of nation’s defense. All major decisions and strategies are his to make alone. Likewise, the president is the nation's number 1 political boss. People look to the president as the leader for public opinion. Even though the president seems like he couldn’t take on many other roles, he is also the Chief of State, he is the leader of the rituals of the American Democracy.

George .W. Bush and Barrack Obama two of America’s great presidents, both filled with their individual ambitions and charisma. These prominent presidents have ruled the most powerful country in the world using their different strategies and policies. George Bush, a republican was the 43rd president of America had two terms in power (cite). On the other hand Barrack Obama the first black president of America and a democrat was his successor. He is known for his charisma. Notwithstanding, their various good leadership skills and the criticisms, Obama has been a better and more successful president United States than George Bush. Despite the fact that his presidency being criticized for being a failure he has done a good job so far. Obama is showing promise in his policies trying fix the problems that were created by past American presidents in terms of handling the domestic and foreign policies.

Sreedhar Potarazu points out in his article “Obama's legacy is at stake” the future of the president’s mark on history. He wonders how, if the ACA doesn’t endure, the president will be remembered. Of course the first black president will always remain his honor, but as far as presidential achievements go where will Obama stand in the halls of American greatness? Some of the president's have done a great job in office some president's didn't do so good in the white house. One of the president’s main goals during their term is to leave a positive and lasting impression on the country. No man wants to be known for the way that they ruined the economy or lost the trust of the citizens because of their poor law making skills or their lack of leadership skills. The president that I chose to analyze was President William Jefferson Clinton. All of them are the best presidents whom every resident who live in the U.S are proud of them. However, to keep and have these situations are not easy. For instance, President Richard Nixon, the 37th U.S president, was the only commander-in-chief to resign from his position, after the 1970s Watergate scandal. A movie “All president’s man” is one of the best movie, which was, exposed the scandal of president Nixon when he was re-elected in the chair of president in White House. In my opinion that according this movie, media was observed on a lot of areas that were invisible for a long time.

As he stepped down as President he was eloquent and it was as clear as ever that he is a master of oration. Obama will go down in history as the first Black President as well as a strong orator who had the ability to captivate an audience through his use of ethos, pathos and logos amongst other rhetorical devices. Ever since Barack Obama became the 44th president of the United States on November 4, 2008 he has changed America. Barack Obama was, the first African American president in U.S., history. During the election for president many candidates had promised people of America that they will make America better. Little did America know that they only did this to get people's votes. Instead of making false promises to the people of America, Barack Obama was the only candidate that used the word “change (npr)” to make the American people interested in what was going to happen. As the leader of a nation, he or she speaks out in times of joy and crisis, setting the tone for the entire government body.

As the presidential race comes close to the primary it will mean an end for Obama’s term. In a recent interview, he asked the question that most American had on their mind. Which was if he could would he yearn for a third term, to which he responded “no because he's confident that things are the lot better in the United States than when he came into office’. In fact is true while in office he’s done so much good just like he promised that he would, for example, decreasing unemployment rate, and increasing more jobs and countless other examples. But where no stranger to the fact that there’s still more work to be done in the world and he acknowledge that maybe the next person that he hands the key will hope that they can do as much as possible to help this country.
