My passion is to not only teach students in a creative and positive way that they are actually learning but also to inspire them to learn and make something great of themselves in their future. The reason being when I was younger I did not take my education that serious. If I would have known then how serious an education was, I feel that I could have accomplished more in middle and high school. After school I wouldn't care about actually learning about my homework. For this reason I want to inspire kids to want to learn at a young age and for them to see that their education and work ethic is very important even at their age. Most importantly I want my future students to want to learn. After school programs would be an immense way to help students with their homework and have fun activities. Teachers from the school volunteer to stay after school and host the after school program. This would be a signifiant way to insure that students are getting their homework done and learning from their homework. Studies have shown that after school programs are a great way to enrich learning from homework and keep students supervised after school hours. …show more content…
Creative teaching makes learning easier for students because it creates a possibility for students to be entertained instead of bored with the material that is being taught. One way to start the quest to being creative in the classroom would be think differently. Teachers need to think of new ways to teach their students. Think of new sources that make students explore, ponder, and contemplate. Providing a variety of options and resources is another way to keep students engaged and creative in the classroom. Creative teaching is a way to keep students excited about learning, keep them entertained and learning at the same
Creative learning is about how children are actively involved in their own learning and ability to make choices and decisions. This can be achieved through providing a creative environment allowing exploration through play and praising creative efforts. Creativity is about risk taking and making connections, allowing children to
All children need a safe place to be after school with caring, responsible adults and engaging activities that connect each child to his/her school, family and community. One method to provide this is through an after-school program. After school programs are any organized program, which invites children to participate in the traditional school day. In Lynda Barry´s essay, “The Sanctuary of School”, the author describes how the school helped her feel in a better environment since his parents had many problems and did not pay enough attention to her. Yes, Barry´s assessment of after-school programs is accurate. They are very important to children because from a social aspect it helps the children develop relationships, get them out of their comfort zones to try new things, meet new people, and overall improve on their general outlook on situations they may not have engaged on their own.
“After-school programs can provide enrichment activities that develop students' academic and social skills. For students who lack adult supervision or learning opportunities after school, such programs can offer an environment that is safe and nurturing as well as educational” (David, 2011, page 10). I choose to work with the Spring Creek After-school Program because this after-school program has a worthy mission and claims that it provides an engaging learning environment for students of PS 346 while addressing the major issues that youth face today.
My passion is my commitment, I have wanted to be a teacher since I met my kindergarten teacher, and I am will to go above and beyond to strive to do my very best for my students and colleagues, if we don’t all work together then we have no

Education has played a major role in my life. Growing up I was fortunate enough to have been taught and guided by some truly inspirational teachers, and I appreciate the effect they have had on my life and the choices I made subsequently. My passion for working with students extends from my desire to emulate these role models and inspire others the way I was. This passion for being an educator/mentor has resulted in me having gained a lot of experience in education that will help me in this role as a UW Academy TA.
I always thought I would be a teacher and I would make differences in lives and it would be the greatest experience in the world for me, yet being a teacher wasn’t enough, I had a need to expand my education. I decided that perhaps I needed a new career, however, I felt certain education remained my passion. I began to explore new areas of education and I realized I still want to be a member of a classroom, a school and curriculum. I aspire to guide those leading our classrooms.
Education has existed throughout history in one form or another. The process of passing down accumulated information from one generation to the next has been present in every human society, past and present. From the young listening to the stories of the elders around the hearths of the ancient world, to pupils being instructed in the alphabet in a one room schoolhouse on the American frontier, to the present day online teaching sessions; the tradition of teaching and learning has been a constant in the ever changing world. Education has been and continues to be used for many purposes, chief among them being the creation of an educated citizenry, the empowerment of that citizenry, and improvement of the

Inside the classroom, the creative curriculum teacher creates an atmosphere in which children are safe, and they feel emotionally secure, as well as have a sense of belonging. It describes activities and teaching strategies that are challenging but at the same time are within the children's reach. It also suggests giving children choices and a role in determining how they will learn.
The primary goal for proceeding with my education consists of two things. For one, I want to promote higher education to my younger relatives. My family is from Haiti, where the literacy level is about forty-five percent. This statistic draws a negative image to the people of Haiti and gives them false hope. I believe that my attendance will encourage my younger relatives to resume their educational pursuits. Along with promoting education, I would like to be successful. I surmise that receiving a post-secondary education increases my chances of being successful. My classes provide lessons beyond the subject of each class. I’m taught valuable skills, and I am not talking about steps to solve a Calculus problem. I reap advice on making a decent
A smart man said “Creativity is as important as literacy and we should treat it with the same standing.” (Ken Robinson-“Do schools kill creativity?”). There are multiple studies on how creativity helps improve a student’s mind. Project based learning is a huge creative booster for students. A math teacher from California uses projects to do math instead of using the text book. From doing this, she’s had more students pass her class then from when she was teaching straight from the text books. Instead of having standardized tests, using more creative techniques for students to enjoy the learning they’ve done and for them to show the higher officials what the students are learning. Creativity is the process of turning real world problems into an understanding by extending the minds cognitive processes. In Alabama, kindergartners are studying different ways to be creative.
After school, from 3 to 6 p.m, is a critical period of time in a child’s life. After school programs help keep kids safe and inspire them to learn during that period of time. After school programs are organized programs that youth can participate in outside of a traditional school day. Enrolling children in afterschool programs would provide them with benefits that unenrolled children would not receive, such as reduce risky behavior and promote physical health. After school programs provide a safe environment for children, while positively impacting their academics, safety, and their future.
Education is one of the most essential necessities of a personal life because without education, we would not have a brighter future. In two essays “Learning to Read and Write” and “A Homemade Education”, Malcolm and Douglass describe what they have gone through in order to become more successful in their pursuits in life. While Malcolm X lived part of his life in prison, he spent his time writing numerous definitions from a dictionary amongst the walls and tables. The elements of the dictionary motivated him to not only become a free man, but a well educated one at that. Douglass, who also taught himself, began his life in slavery. But after a series of attempts, he escapes from slavery and pursues into his
Learning and knowledge are highly prized in all societies, especially here in Ireland, where there is a strong tradition of respect for education. The choices that individuals make when leaving school, in particular whether to pursue higher education or not, are likely to have a long lasting effect on their lifestyle. The main purposes for a University education involve: social, national and educational purposes and for the individual personal purposes and moral development. These topics will be addressed in the following paragraphs.
