INTRODUCTION Today, Asia is in one of the most peaceful times in history, but a while ago, it wasn’t. Wars on every corner, costing lives, famine and diseases, The wars where lethal, long, costly, and most of all, bloody. Where humans aren’t the biggest killers, and food is nowhere to be found, Here are the battles that changed Asia.

It then ended in 1975. This war came right after the First IndoChina war. (1946-1954) It was a long, costly conflict that killed more than 3 million people, including 58,000 Americans. 2.5 million G.I.s from America served Vietnam from 1956-1975. The average age was 21. ⅓ were drafted, and ⅔ of them volunteered. Whether they were drafted or volunteered, 1 out of 10 died. And, 11,000 were women. But most of the women were nurses or flight controllers.

Korean War The Korean war was a war between North Korea and South Korea. It is known to be the bloodiest 4 years in the asian mainland. On June 25, 1950, the Korean War began when 75,000 soldiers from the North Korean People’s Army spilled across the 38th parallel.l This battle was the first military action of the Cold War. (USA vs. USSR) By July, American troops had entered the war on South Korea’s behalf. Finally, in July 1953, the Korean War came to an end. In all, more than 5 million soldiers and civilians lost their lives during the war. The Korean peninsula is still divided
