The Holocaust. A time in history that we wish had never happened but had undoubtedly happened nonetheless. A man named Adolf Hitler who orchestrated the entire ordeal and started WW2, what lead to this man killing millions of jews and condemning even more, and why did people stand by and do nothing about this at first. To first understand these questions we must first learn more about the man named Adolf Hitler.
In 1889 on April 20, Adolf Hitler was born. His mother was Klara Pölzl and his Father Alois Hitler. Hitler had six siblings, three of which died in infancy and one of his other younger brothers who died of measles. Apparently Hitler suffered a great deal from the death of his younger brother which changed his attitude from an outgoing child to a detached child who fought a lot. Hitler on the other hand had different ideas and wanted to become an artist. When his father heard of this he got angry and sent Hitler off to a technical school. As all parents now know when a child doesn’t get their way they rebel and things start to get out of hand, even worse if the child is a stubborn one like Hitler was. Hitler in protest to being sent to technical school did his best to cause havoc, he purposely failed his classes and caused dissent in school. While in school he began to develop his German ideals that many others were developing at their young age. With his friends that had the same ideals the sang the song "Deutschlandlied" instead of the Austrian Imperial anthem (Deutschlandlied is the national anthem of Germany). Hitler had some friends while he was in the technical and to greet them they used the term that would become apart of the worst
The Holocaust, an event in the 1930 's and 40 's that changed the world greatly. It was responsible for the killing of 6 million European Jews. Many people think Adolf Hitler was the evil man who was in charge of the ruthless genocide of these people. However, he is not. Adolf Eichmann is the man responsible for creating the "Final Solution" the plan to extreminate the Jewish race.
The Holocaust was the systematic, bureaucratic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of six million Jews by the Nazi regime and its collaborators (ushmm.org). In this time period was January 30, 1933 to May 8, 1945. This had been a big role in World War 2 that Americans did not even know about until we got into Germany. Nazis had gain power of Germany in 1933 and they had believed that the Jews were alien. With out even being a threat, they were accounted as a big threat to Germany and the world.

Adolf Hitler rose to power in 1933 during Germany’s dark days. Hitler became a powerful force after his release from jail. His speeches were inspiring because his speeches enthused people and caused a sense of belief.
Adolf Hitler, the name that sparks fury and despair amongst many. With unethical moral and incomprehensible hate for the Jews, he orchestrated the mass murder of the Jewish population. Everybody is aware of the destruction Hitler caused. Aware of Hitler’s disapproval and unexplainable vengeance against the Jewish. Hitler was motivated by religion and nationalism to eradicate any threats to his state. It was Hitler’s ideology that his Aryan race was superior to any other. Hitler’s goal was to create a “master race” by eliminating the chance for “inferiors” to reproduce. Besides the Jews the other victims of the genocide include the Roma (Gypsies), African-Germans, the mentally disabled, handicapped, Poles, Slavs, Anti-Nazi political parties, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Homosexuals. By 1921, Hitler was leading the National Socialist German Workers' Party. He was a very effective speaker and captivated audiences for hours. He was persuasive and told people what they wanted to hear. Because of this, he was a very successful propaganda artist. Driven by Germany's loss in WWI and humiliation, which was a result of the terms in the treaty of Versailles, Hitler found many followers who sympathized with his cause. After his political group failed an attempt to overpower the Bavarian government, he was arrested and jailed for nine months. While imprisoned, Hitler wrote Mein Kampf (My Struggle), which was his autobiography, and it was full of his political ideas as well as the policies for what would become the Nazi organization. Later, he would use this book to spread his ideas and indoctrinate people into the Nazi party. At one point in time, he tried to destroy all other books in Germany. He required that Mein Kampf be taught in the schools, and children learned at a very young age that they were to be Nazis and support Hitler.

The Holocaust was not only the most depressing time in Germany, it was also the biggest accomplishment that Adolf Hitler was known for.
