Poe has written multiple short stories and poems, he's actually known for only a couple of his works. Poe many unexpected tragedies and shortcomings, these shortcoming greatly influenced his life and his works. He wasn’t as famous during his life than compared to present day. The mysterious death is what most believe that brought into the peoples’ eyes. Through the use of many different literature elements, create a dark gothic feel, sublime moments which easily manipulated the readers as they read his books.
Poe was born on January 19, 1809, unfortunately, Poe’s parents died when he was a very young age of 3. Where he was picked up by John Allan and wife Frances Allan. Sadly, his brother and sister were separated to live with other foster homes. John wanted to make Poe a great business man, but Poe had other plans. Being inspired at a young age to write poems from Lord Bryon a British poet, Poe had no plans to become the business John wanted him to be. During his first year at the University Poe found himself with large gambling debts after using Allan’s money. After Poe realized that the money John allan had given him wasn't enough he tried to gamble and meet the gap in school payments. After gambling to make up the difference for school, Poe realized that he was in debt and after asking the Allans for financial help Poe found he argued with the allans a lot more than usual . Poe went to the United states military academy of west point however he was dismissed before taking a degree. Poes adventures in schooling and gambling eventually pulled his life further away from the Allans.
