An American politician that got through being calm and using humor. The man who made it his goal to end the Cold War. A man that saved our economy as president using reaganomics. The person I am talking about of course is Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan was born in a commercial building on February 6th, 1911. As a boy he had a strong belief in the goodness of people and that they would do the right thing. He was different than most people in the way that he was against racial discrimination; once having invited black people that were not allowed at the local inn to his house where they were offered to spend the night and have breakfast the next morning. Reagan moved to Dixon in 1920 where he would graduate and get his first job as a lifeguard. John Reagan was a second generation Italian-American shoe salesmen and his mother Nelle was a huge believer in the bible and the Protestant faith.
