Elvis Presley was a musician, singer, and actor. He changed everything with his dancing, attitude, and music. Presley was born on January 8, 1935. He lived in Tupelo, Mississippi and moved to Memphis, Tennessee when he was 13 years old in 1948. The Presley family went to a catholic church and that is where Elvis got his inspiration for music and got his first guitar at eleven. From there his music career started in 1955. The music genre he performed was rock and roll, pop, country, gospel, and blues. On January 1956 his first single was released, called “Heartbreak Hotel”. Following his return into the music industry from the Army, Elvis was looking to make a huge comeback, which he did. He continued his work on music two years later. He performed in concerts. After that he took a break from performing and music for seven years. In 1967 Elvis got married to Priscilla Beaulieu after knowing her since she was only four teen years old, while Elvis being ten years older. They had their first baby name Lisa in 1968 but Elvis’s drug abuse led him to his divorce. When he returned after his break with a television show called “Elvis”. This made him even more famous. He began going on tours and had a concert in Las Vegas. In 1973, Presley gave the first concert by a solo artist to be broadcast around the world, aloha from Hawaii. Although he was loved all around the world he never performed outside of the United States. Elvis abused from his prescription drugs which caused him his life at only forty two years old from a heart attack in August 1977. He was found in the bathroom laying on the floor.
