Mary Ann Dyehouse, 83, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Vonda Davis of Sardinia, and the late Arthur McGhehey, of Mt. Orab. She was preceded in death by her son, Pat Hastings of Ripley, Ohio, former husband Tom Hastings and her husband, Herman Dyehouse of Hillsboro.
Mary Ann is survived by one son, Jeff Hastings of Mt. Orab, Ohio; and two daughters, Cyndy Patrick and her husband Dennis of Clifton, VA, and Beth Robinson and her husband Ken of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is also survived by four grandsons, Josh Patrick and his wife Kelly of Birmingham, AL, Mitchell Hastings and his wife Mindy of Georgetown, Ohio, Jason Patrick of Waynesville, MI, and Jack Robinson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and six great grandchildren.

Dyehouse was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Hillsboro and retired several years ago after many years working in retail in Hillsboro including, the former Fetero’s, United and Haines stores. She was a fervent collector of antiques and numerous friends in her chase of treasures. She was beloved by her family and friends and her ready smile and sense of fun will be greatly missed.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday, December 2 at the Buford Cemetery. Father Mike Paraniuk of St. Mary’s Church in Hillsborocelebrated the services. The Beam-Fender Funeral Home served the family.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend services at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands on Wednesday, September ?? from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with a private burial to follow.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie Coffey Hubbard of Edmonton; three children: Timmy (Connie) Hubbard II, April (Ernie) England, and Tora (Dewayne) Emmitt, all of Edmonton; five brothers: Jim (Cindy) Hubbard, Louis (Sammy) Hubbard, Daryl Hubbard, Alvin (Lisa) Hubbard, and Steven (Teresa) Hubbard, all of Edmonton; and two sisters: Michelle (Robert) Coffey and Donna (Todd) Mosher, all of Edmonton. Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
Strolling through the woods one day with my husband we stumbled across a head stone for the late Mrs. Bessie Vanburen, age 19, beloved wife and mother, died July 11th 1835. Our minds started to wonder back to a time long passed and the days before Mrs. Bessie was placed here.
William met a young lady by the name of Mary Botham and a few months later, William asked Mary to marry him. William and Mary Howitt had one Daughter and named her Anna Mary Howitt after her mother and grandmother. Sadly, Howitt died on the 3rd of March in 1879, Rome, Italy. A few years later, Mary died on the 30th of January 1888, Rome, Italy.

Bette was eagerly anticipating moving into a retirement home by the shore in Noank in June of 2014 when she became seriously ill and instead required admittance to Apple Rehab in Mystic. Although in hospice, she was deeply appreciative of her last months at the shore that she loved in Mystic, CT, where she reveled in numerous outings for sightseeing along the coast and lobster rolls. Bette is survived by her five children David Cunningham of Noank, CT, Richard Cunningham and his wife Paula of Belchertown, MA, William Cunningham and his wife Lynne of East Longmeadow, MA, Paul Cunningham of East Longmeadow, MA, and Bette Johnston-Kilduff of The Villages, FL, grandchildren Sheree Dubuque, Cheryl Cunningham, Robert Johnston, Brian Johnston, Benjamin Kilduff and Emily Kilduff, great grandchildren Billy and Adianna Dubuque. Mary Ellen Wilson was born in 1864 to Francis and Thomas Wilson of New York City. Soon thereafter, Thomas died, and his widow took a job. No longer able to stay at home and care for her infant daughter, Francis boarded Mary Ellen (a common practice at the time) with a woman named Mary Score. As Francis’s economic situation deteriorated, she slipped further into poverty, falling behind in payments for and missing visits with her daughter. As a result, Mary Score turned two-year-old Mary Ellen over to the city’s Department of Charities (National Network for Child Care.)
