I’d want to research the potential customer base in depth. Is there a part of town where there are people with an income bracket that would allow for more than one computer in the home? Typically, customers will make additional purchases of items, like computers, from the same store that they purchased the first one from, if they had a positive experience.

e starting this project, I was a little unsure about how it was going to go and if the interview was going to be awkward. In my opinion, I knew my aunt was a survivor, but I wasn’t sure if other people were going to agree with me. “Are you ready?” I asked my aunt, Frances, as I got my questions organized. “Ya,” my aunt said “this will be fun!” Knowing she was excited about this project made it much easier for me.

My project will be dedicated in saving the turtles. I will be participating at the NOAA program. This project will mostly be learning more about turtles. Also, protecting their wildlife habitat. One of the assignment I will be given at the program is to take care of the turtle’s nesting grounds. I’ll volunteer my time and be able to have a close-up experience with these creatures. This job will require for me to be there day and night since it’s nesting season.

Debra, I agree with your views. It is very true that you need to be aligned with your employer’s mission to be an effective leader. I also understand your statement about job creation around hot topics, although I think a bit differently about those roles being cut out when finances need to be cut. I have help different positions and actually hold one now that focus on a “hot topic” job, and after weighing my choices, I still chose to take the leap of faith to become the director of our ACO. My view is that even though payment models may change and ACOS may eventually disappear, the learnings that I will gain from this position make me more valuable to future positions that are created due to the ever changing payment models. I believe that I will be more satisfied with my job because I am doing groundbreaking work, and although not everything will be successful the learnings from failures is also invaluable. So while the quality metrics that are the focus of today may be different tomorrow, we will always need to focus on overall patient quality to improve both patient outcomes and cost control.

In this section of unit 18, I have been asked to produce a presentation which includes the required skills and the role of an event organiser. If the event organiser has the right skills and is aware of their role then the event will be a successful one.

During my visit at the Art Institute of Chicago this quarter, a popular and interesting piece of artwork that spoke to me in ways that no other artwork did was the, “Tarquin and Lucretia” by Tintoretto or the artist known as Jacopo Robusti. Tintoretto is also known as the one of the most well-known Italian Renaissance artists and became interested in painting at a very young age. This specific piece of artwork was originally created by Tintoretto during 1578 through 1580 and is an oil painting on a canvas. It has approximate size measurements of 68’ 7/8” by 59’ 5/8” and is classified as an Italian work of art. This painting takes place in ancient Roman times where the figure that is somewhat laying down represents Lucretia, who is the wife of an honest man named Lucius Tarquinius Collatinus (“Stories and Histories - The Rape of Lucretia”, 2016). The other figure that is directly behind Lucretia is Sextus Tarquinius or Tarquin, who is her rapist and the son of a dictatorial Roman king named Lucius Tarquinius Superbus. Subsequently after her rape, Lucretia tells her husband and father about the incident. In order to save herself from the guilt and misrepresentation of her reputation, she stabs herself to death (“Stories and Histories - The Rape of Lucretia”, 2016). Throughout Shakespeare’s career, the unbelievably successful author had published a multitude of plays with unique variations in theme, tone, and overall story. Nevertheless, all of the works are sorted into one of two contrasting categories: a tragedy, or a comedy. Taming of the Shrew is commonly known as one of his greatest comedies, due to comedic effects that are put into play through the mocking of men and women, involving crossdressing and basic gender stereotypes. It begins with a lord performing a play consisting of the Taming of the Shrew, making it a frame story. The story is about men wanting to marry a perfect woman, Bianca, but none can marry her until her “shrewish” sister Katherina has been wed. A man named Petruchio hears about this and takes advantage of Katherina for the money and position of power, and eventually “tames” her. Through the entirety of this play, it is very clear that women are viewed as lesser through the parody that the Lord and his men are putting on. This can be seen through the portrayals of the female characters and how they are treated. Bianca is an ideal, perfect female to everyone that knows her, but Katherina is just a bit different, which automatically gives her the label of a “shrew”. The constant comparison to her sister has given her a sharp, twisted view of the world, overall leading to a bad effect on her personality. This is expanded upon when Katherina’s suitor Petruchio tries to woo her and she is not fond of him, but then her father allows him to marry her. He creates a very toxic relationship filled with abuse and mistreatment, all justified as taming.

Over the past few years I have envisioned myself becoming an engineer. I will connect my passion for education and desire for math and science into one. One day I hope to start up my own school system that is dedicated to help urban city youth learn foreign languages, express themselves through fine arts, while exposing them to the STEM field. It is not common for women to go into the field of engineering. Only 14% of people in engineering are female. My family and friends began to question me on whether this something I really wanted to do, because women in the field engineering is rare, but I tells them thus is just a game of gender and power.
