Hi Peeps,
Today's Quote
"I speak to kids, teens, and adults all the time about the joys of teaching, composing, recording, marriage, ethics and working hard to do your best in every relationship, friendship, and project, as if God is your Mentor, smiling at you!" ~ Jon Barnes
Do Well
Let us do well in all that we do, because all around the world, people will see you; including God. They will stop, look, think and say, "wow, you look like you're having a really good day." Be a part of God's team, helping people pass their personal tests, as a good living example doing your best.
Get Better
Each day I invest in developing my family, with love, faith hope, charity, not gambling. The work is steady, fulfilling, rewarding, and challenging,
This being the case, he was somewhat shocked when a simple recounting of these events and his desire to enter youth ministry yielded him a job opportunity while still in school. Now, Sean spends his Wednesday evenings at Cedar Road Missionary Church, leading a small youth group comprised of 6-12th graders. Honestly, he admits that the task is intimidating. Not only are a few of the students just a shade under his own age, making the assumption of authority somewhat difficult, he is tasked with the job of coming up with lessons which are applicable to the lives of students in various stages of maturity in both a practical and spiritual
No matter what my background and the struggles I have in life, I can use all experience as motivation and relevant opportunities to assist in teaching others. In the midst of preaching and teaching, I learned that I must always seek to make learning relevant by using real-life scenarios and illustrations. Not only that, but I must go the extra mile to ensure that I create lessons and sermons connecting with learning modalities. Moreover, I should strive to always include reluctant learnings in every learning opportunity and not single-out students because of their
Each person has to demonstrate what they are doing and have learned with the lessons and talent given to them by God. Each day is an opportunity to give and share this knowledge.
Hi Peeps, Today's Quote "Throw your love into the air, take a shot for the team, and God will catch you with a safe landing." ~ Jon Barnes Enjoy Life It is so much fun to offer assistance, leadership, and guidance to people who are in need and appreciate your effort. I enjoy throwing my love into the air to let God hit someone with it and watching how God's Love works through our lives. God's Effort God's effort, wisdom, and understanding tends to go unnoticed, since it seems so natural, consistent, honest, real, and easily accessible. Look how easily we take the daily supernatural ways of God and provisions for granted.
As a teacher, I have seen students who are gifted; students who can hear information once and it sticks. I have also seen students who become frustrated or apathetic; students who think they can’t do something or choose not to do something because it poses a challenge to them. Having just completed my second year of teaching middle school and high school English, I reflect on this past school year and am reminded that I have chosen a challenging career, but those challenges are miniscule when compared to how fulfilling it is to see a student truly excel. As a teacher, nothing is more gratifying than coming across a student who is motivated; a student who isn’t afraid to put in the work to reach his goals; and a student who not only shows academic excellence, but pushes himself to be the best he can be as a son, an older brother, a member of his community, a volunteer, and a captain of the soccer team. That student is Trevor Fancher.

Live in your unique abilities to learn, love, grow and share God's grace and mercy with others to complete your God given assignments. Do not give up on doing all the good you are to accomplish in your work and charity. Your life's story should paint that picture of your face, not my face.
None of us were expected to do anything great in life - or so we thought until we met our middle school teacher, Ms. Livingston, notorious for assigning “mountains” of homework. Despite the limited resources available, she pushed her students to strive for excellence. Ms. Livingston picked a handful of her top students including me to mentor. She made us apply to private schools, helped with test and interview preparation and guided us throughout the process. After months of hard work, I was accepted into Friends Seminary, one of the most rigorous private schools in Manhattan..
I am a firm believer in God and every Sunday that I go to church I figure out something new about life that will help me progress daily. I strongly believe that the way we think can affect our outcome and they way we feel. By having a positive mindset and blocking out the negativity there will be more positivity to come my way. Everyday, I am reminded to not let the circumstances of life stop me fulfilling my purpose. Since my mind isn’t down in the gutter this will also help me think about my dreams that I want to come true. My thinking and experiences pushes me to advance, finish my original dreams, and to create new

On a frigid afternoon junior year, Mr. Richmond, my beloved high school theatre teacher, changed my life. Lecture days in theatre class typically invited sighs from our energetic class of predominantly kinesthetic learners. On this particular day, Mr. Richmond announced he would be lecturing and the class energy dropped, as was to be expected. Nothing average occurred past that point, though. Our teacher proceeded to pass out a one-page handout that would impact me forever: a page of remarkable quotes on passion. As Mr. Richmond spoke, I scanned the handout. Toward the bottom, I found my all-time favorite quote. Gabrielle Berstein said, “Allow your passion to become your purpose and it will one day become your profession.” I suddenly found an articulate explanation of my innermost desire: to live purposefully. I still refer to the quote in times when I feel lost. Mr. Richmond’s lecture helped me acknowledge my passion for helping autism-spectrum kids in addition to theatre; and Berstein’s quote enabled me to articulate and follow my dreams.
My philosophy of teaching is deeply rooted in nurturing the potential each and every student in my classes. Providing a creative environment that allows self assessment, growth, group interaction and mentorship are at its very core. Having taught in Higher Education for many years, and as an instructor of Media Arts and Animation, and Game Design, I have had the amazing opportunity to work with some of the brightest and creative young professionals. Teaching has not only broadened my love of art and exploration, but my determination to help students that do not have the confidence to persevere through their education, yet have the passion to follow their dreams.
Reflect His attributes of goodness, I have seen this worked out in my life through the giving of my time. This is probably the most tangible way to measure my personal reflection of God 's goodness. When I was younger, whenever I was asked what areas of my life could be improved, I always said I was lazy regarding my faith. Since then I have grown and volunteer at church
