Growing up the definition of a hero for me was someone strong, handsome, intelligent and daring. But as I grew older, I began to find other qualities that mattered more like courage, honesty, bravery, and selflessness. A dictionary definition of a hero is an individual who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. But the definition of heroism has changed with time. Heroes of yesterday aren't the heroes of today and vice versa.
One type of hero is saving the life of one or of hundreds. Heroes aren't only real people but also figures of our imagination. Children are fascinated with fantasy figures like Superman and Batman because they take on challenging journeys, always win hardcore battles with evil,

What is your definition of a hero? My definition of a hero is someone who fights for what is right even if people try to convince them other wise. A hero is caring to others and shows leadership. A hero can be on tv or right in front of your eyes. Being a hero does not mean being famous or well known. This definition of a hero perfectly describes my hero, my mammy.

Ever since I was a young child I have always dreamed of being a “hero” in society. When I was younger a hero to me meant someone who wore a cape and defeated bad guys. As I grew older and began to mature, so too did the meaning of what a hero is. I began to learn that a hero is a pivotal and well-respected individual in society that helps any person they can despite whatever race, ethnicity, gender or social standing. In my last post I gave my definition of what a hero is. In this post I will compare my definition of a hero to what I heard on the panel. My definition of a hero is someone who people can look up to as a role model because of their actions. A hero can lead by example and is not afraid to deviate from what is comfortable or conventional. The definitions given on the panel did not disagree with anything that I had to say but they did go into detail as to what being heroic actually is.
