Tyler and Sally were in their neighborhood park when Markus Watson ran up to them say. “Sam Cronk and Jim Davis are dead, one was stabbed and the other we believe was forced or volunteered to drink a vial of poison. The weird part is that Sam Cronk had his fingerprints on both of the items used to kill them.”
The two drove to Kansas and entered the house while the family was sleeping. The funny thing was, Hickock and Smith were unable to locate the safe. It was not in the place that Wells
I did not sympathize with Dick very much, he seemed harsher, and every action he made was to benefit himself and hopefully to obtain a sexual relationship with the encounter. He lusted after female children, which reveals his pedophilic tendencies. The reveal of those tendencies had me picture him as more of a sex crazed lunatic. Perry seemed gentler (until the big reveal of him being the actual murderer). He felt disturbed over Dick’s lack of sexual control, and he was suicidal. I did feel sympathetic for Perry the majority of the

Stephen, Abby and HOWIE, the bank security manager, are waiting for something. Harrison runs in with 500 dollars and a pizza for Howie. Once Howie verified the amount, he checks the video for the time of the murder. The team finds something.
No one spoke a word to anyone, yet without a doubt those three knew fully what was expected of them. When they finally arrived at Holt’s safehouse, the place in question was a reasonably medium sized house that had two floors; any other details were rendered obscured by the darkness of a humid summer night. Once the car was parked at the curbside, almost blocking off the driveway, Kirchner, Gerber and Sapienti got out of the car wielding a Remnant made Gustloff Volkssturmgewehr with silencers. Together, they climbed over the fence to reach the backyard, from which the three then stealthily snuck to the backdoor of the safehouse. Once there, Fabian Kirchner took the responsibility of unlocking the backdoor using a lock picking set.
Alvin Dewey was happy that they caught them since he’s been trying to catch these guys for a month. Later, the KBI were assigned to their suspects and interrogate them in separate rooms. Dewey was interrogating Smith and asking him all this questions about what happen. Smith tells him how it started. Perry Smith says that “The door was unlock. A side door. It took us into Mr. Clutter’s office” (Truman 236). This shows that Dick and Perry went inside to Mr. Clutter office, they were waiting in dark and looking for the safe but the safe was know where to be found. When they encounter Mr. Clutter, they took him to the office and ask him where the safe is. Mr. Clutter said that he didn’t have safe. It made Dick yelled at him and had a knife towards Mr. Clutter. Mr. Clutter gave them money that was about thirty dollars but they wanted more so they went upstairs to see who is awake. Mrs. Clutter keep saying that they don’t have a safe at all and saying that Mr. Clutter was telling the truth. Then Perry told Dick that your friend Floyd Wells lied to you about the safe. But Dick was too ashamed so he decided to tie them to their bed. After the KBI had interrogate them and they found their story to be similar but there was one information that was told differently. In the book In Cold Blood it says that “The only serious discrepancy being that Hickock attributed all four deaths to Smith, while Smith contended that Hickock had killed the two women” (Truman 245). This shows that both of Dick and Perry blamed on each other for the crime they committed to the KBI. Dewey could not forget the suffering they been through. He hoped to see them
They also talked to people in town who were known to have grudges against the Clutters, but all of them turned out to have alibis for the night of the murderer. The hired help and his family who lived next door reported to not have heard any gunshots, which seemed suspicious. However the KBI determined the barn would have blocked the sound of the shots, and since the family also had alibis, they were dismissed as suspects.

Their plan was that Robert would be on the opposite side of the property. He would shoot the cow and then shoot his pistol into the air inorder to draw everyone to that side of the property. In 1966, Truman Capote published a novel piercing the boundaries of literary genres, as he narrated the events of the 1959 Clutter family massacre in the small town of Holcomb, Kansas and the quest that took place afterwards, through both the murderers and those looking for them. As Capote bends these genre normalities, he ventures with the killers and the detectives, and describes the murderers’ lives in-depth to further characterize Dick Hickock and Perry Smith, the killers themselves, their psychological state, and the possible contributing factors to their undeniable personality disorders. The two killers are ultimately diagnosed by a mental health professional with mental illnesses rather than chronic personality disorders, an injustice still commonly made today in the psychology field, and are determined to have known right from wrong in terms of their crime. Throughout this novelistic journey, Capote explores the distinction between psychopathy and sociopathy, specifically the textbook lack of remorse and guilt, the mask antisocial individuals tend to display as their public persona via falsified charm and manipulation, and overall moral compass, or lack thereof, between the two. Furthermore, Capote dissects the psychological differences between individuals with antisocial tendencies present at birth versus those tendencies acquired through environmental factors. Through combining the evidence of his findings, Capote contends that individuals born “evil” should be
