The Judicial branch interprets the law. It brings resolution to disputes. If parties cannot resolve conflicts then they can enforce a lawsuit. This will enforce the court to resolve their legal issues. The court applies the law to the particular dispute. It looks into all relevant statues, constitutional provisions and administrative facts. They determine the shape and structure of the judicial system. A judicial branch of government oversees the court system in the United States and explains the meaning of the constitution and all laws passed by congress.
The health IT system is essential to transform the delivery of health care. Innovation within the IT system includes efficient data use through warehouses as they expand health information, which allows for big improvements in the technological use. These improvements would ensure that data user safety will allow the smooth exchange of information transfer electronically between different health care providers. In this case, most hospital employees and health care organizations understand how the health information technology (IT) is important for the HCO’s functions. The passing of “the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) legislation in 2009, with its specific attention to advancing EHRs, federal dollars are dedicated to expanding EHR use in physician offices and more” (Abdelhak pg. 180). This shows that a federal government has an ability to change in the healthcare industry, so the government should incorporate science and technology development. The private sector and government funding resources will also have a significant impact to play a great role in the exploration of new software operations in terms of advancing the technological environment. Health information management involves the practice of maintaining and taking care of health records in hospitals, health insurance companies and other health institutions, by the use of electronic means (McWay 176). Health Information Managers role in an acute or non-acute health care facility is vital to the healthcare industry. Acute medical facilities assist patients with severe illnesses or symptoms. Serious illnesses can include patients who have acute episodes of chronic conditions. Non-acute facilities assist patients who have short term illness needing immediate attention. The position I am most interested in related to the health information field is the Chief Medical Information Officer. The responsibility of the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) may vary from one organization to another. However, they may be required to provide leadership and guidance in the daily operation and maintenance of electronic health records (EHRs). A CMIO may evaluate an organization’s IT systems/ infrastructures; analyzing the medical and health data, and insure excellent quality of care across multiple departments. They conduct data analytics for research purposes and report findings to health care personnel, physician, nurses, executive and board of directors. CMIO serves as a key advisor to other medical personnel when referencing IT systems, data management and other specific health information.
The purpose of this report is to explain what “Management Information Systems” (MIS) is. This report will discuss how management information system helps different departments in an organization. The functions and advantages of using MIS will also be examined in this report.
