Brian had several Aha moments throughout, all of them helping him realize that mistakes weren’t a affordable and helping him develop and adapt to the world around him.
In the book, Crucible, everyone in the town accuses each other to get back at their enemies and this is a huge fundamental flaw. People use the witchcraft to get revenge on others. In the book, the Nurses, Proctor’s, and Putnam's all blamed each other of witchcraft or stealing land. The Putnam's tried to take George Jacob’s land, “If Jacob hangs for witchcraft he forfeit up his property... This man is killing his neighbors for this land!”

These things happen in the three time newbery honor author, Gary Paulsen’s book “Hatchet”. A kid named Brian has been in the same plane crash as described. He is thirteen years old and has survived for 54 days, alone in the Canadian Wilderness.
An important event in Hatchet was when Brian is getting the survival pack from the downed plane. Since Brian has changed (physically and emotionally) throughout the days he has been there. Usually, he will think of negative things and cry about all of them. Brian is starting to think about the plane and the dead pilot again, but this time it was different. He was there for about 50 days or so, but he thought about it all day. The survival pack, he was thinking of until the next morning. For the steps are important because they show how Brian is fearless and strong to make a plan to get the survival pack out of the plane. Brian’s experience with getting the survival pack out of the plane is one reason why to always have a plan to know what you are doing to survive in the wilderness.
In The Scarlet Letter, the scaffold scenes are arguably the most discussed and memorable in the novel. These scenes act as a major setting not once, nor even twice, but, indeed, thrice. The scaffold scenes contain an abundance of imagery, most aid to the discovery that the scaffold is symbolic for judgement day, and Pearl is a symbol for God. The scaffold scenes provide a clear representation of “the great judgement day”.
Hatchet is an exciting survival story that everyone can learn something from. It is important for us to keep pushing forward in challenging situations that we are experiencing. Brian is a very good hunter in this book. He had to learn by himself. He uses his only tool which is a hatchet to make a lot more tools to kill. He makes spear for fishing because he found fish in the lake. I have also tried spearing fish a couple years back. I did the same thing as him, i took a stick sharpened it and went out to kill a fish. I was not successful like him, but I gave it a shot. He also made a bow out of wood. He knows his stuff when it comes to making bows. He made his bow out of hickory which is a good wood because it is very flexible. I have also tried this, but I cheated and used pvc pipe. With his bow he also made arrows which he made out of the straightest sticks he could find. The arrows seemed to work and he was apple to shoot
The key character traits that are exposed include perseverance, determination and also creativity. Brian show’s perseverance when things are not easy or don’t go his way. The text supports this is the many times it seemed nature itself was trying to make Brian’s life harder or to even kill him. An example of this is when a bear shows up in his camp in the dark of night and begins eating his food. The beer ends up throwing him twenty feet in the direction of the lake causing many injuries. Brian is very hurt and it isn’t easy for despite everything he keeps on going after the bear encounter. Brian shows determination many times throughout the story. When something seems impossible he keeps on going and pushes through. An example is when he begins trying to make a stronger bow. He repeatedly fails but does not give in. Creativity, if Brian did not possess this trait he couldn't have survived more than a week. He used creativity when doing so many things. These things included the area of the lake that he made a wall that traps in fish for him to spear and get an easy meal. He also uses creativity when designing his shelter door to keep animals out. After having various unwelcome guests, he decided to do something about it. All in all Brian uses the three traits Perseverance, determination and creativity many times to last in the
