Unit aim
This unit is aimed at those working in a wide range of settings.

Outcome 1 Understand factors that influence individuals’ access to services and facilities
1. describe how accessing a range of services and facilities can be beneficial to an individual’s well being
Access to services and facilities impacts directly on the quality of everyday life of many people with disabilities, their families and carers. While many of us take for

The exact impact of a disability on the life of an individual varies according to a number of factors including:

the specific nature and severity of the disability; the person’s strength, stamina, size, weight and age; the person’s ability to cope; and the physical, social and economic environment within which the person is living.
The most important way to overcome barriers to accessing services and facilities is to ensure you have all the information necessary and also any alternatives available. For example it may be that the sports centre the individual wishes to visit does not have a hoist to assist them into the pool whilst one a little further away does. Where the local pool is only a walk away the other pool may involve using public transport so a bus/train timetable may be useful or maybe local taxi numbers for those who can accommodate a wheelchair user. Ensure the information is provided in ways that take communication difficulties into account. For example if the information is for an individual with learning difficulties then a picture based book can ensure the information is understandable. ©HSC DIPLOMA
To the extent my timetable is concerned, I typically go to work at 7.30 AM. It's a 20 minute stroll to the healing center from home. On days when I'm not working I'm finished with rounds and seeing patients by 6.30 PM and back home before 7.
All outcomes in red are observations to be carried out by assessor. The information given indicates the types of things assessor will be looking for
There are many reasons a person could choose to stop therapy and stop attending sessions. However, I would be concerned about Jan like I would be with all my clients. It would be nice and considerate for Jan to at least answer or return your phone call to let you know she is oaky. Jan could have become worse or even started feeling better, we cannot say with not information or evidence to back the theories up. I would contact someone on her medical chart to check on her and to see if she is okay. I would not revile any information just ask if she could please return my phone call. I would also send Jan out a letter expressing I am thinking about her and care about her and her well being. Maybe this will make Jan interact with me once again.
Hoists, there are two main types ceiling hoists which are fixed to the ceiling and run along a track, they take up less room then a portable hoist and

During this unit I learned how to share a project with fellow classmates to allow them to work on it at the same time as me. I also learned the three different ways to allow this, by either sharing it with them, sending them an invite or link through via email, or by copying the link and sending it them. When I used Google Docs in high school we just shared it with one another and could see when we were all on. We also used it when we presented, but I did not know with One Drive you could present online! I think that is one of the coolest tools ever! Not only can you work on these projects and documents together, but you can communicate with each other as well. I was also unaware of how many gigs of storage you get when you sign up for programs
Unit 302 – Promote Health, Safety and Wellbeing in care settings. 1. What is the difference between a. and a. Identify legislation relating to health and safety in a care setting There are a number of legislations which relate to health and safety in a care setting. It is a legal requirement for us as care workers to follow these guidelines within our roles. Each piece of legislation has its own requirements but, as a whole, they all are there to ensure that people are safe.
1.2 Draw your organisational chart using this as a guide and assess the responsibilities in a specific health and social care workplace for management of health and safety in relation to organisational structures Manager: In the social care home where I work, the manager is also the healthcare manager. His responsibility is to arrange training for us the employees on health and safety. This trainings make the employees to be familiar with regulations like RIDDOR, Health and Safety at Work Regulations, among others with their legislative requirement. Aside from training, the responsibility of the manager is in providing equipment important for health and safety.
Neglect: medical condition deteriorating unexpectedly or not improving as expected, hypothermia or person cold or dressed inadequately, unexplained loss of weight, clothes or body dirty and smelly, delays in seeking medical attention
Physical abuse is deliberate physical force that may result in bodily injury, pain, or impairment. Both old and young people can be physically abused. There are signs or indicators to show physical abuse and there are ways in which victims and abusers act or interact with each other.
Because peoples heritage is part of their culture. The more you understand about it the more you understand the person and the reason they do some of the things they do. You have a heritage and it is why you were brought up with the beliefs and standards. You want people to respect that, so you should give the same respect. It’s also a part of history which has helped us evolve throughout this world. You may not like it or agree with it, but you should at least learn a bit about it before you make a decision and still respect it.
1:2 Explain how multiple conditions and/or disabilities many have an additional impact on the individual’s well being and quality of life.
These schools almost cover a catchment area of 12km2, encapsulating its surrounding suburbs. Education is not the only attraction to the suburb. Valentine Sports Park, a multi-purpose sports facility, is situated in Glenwood. International and National football games are held in this stadium. There is a small shopping centre with minimal shopping facilities and limited parking spots, located close to the local
Explain how to ensure individuals’ rights and preferences are promoted when accessing and using services and facilities
To maintain prices at a competitive level, installing the pools would yield a small profit. As the price of the installation goes up, customers are going to be convinced to go elsewhere for business. Since it can be estimated that most people hire installers at the same place they buy the pools, this may affect sales of above ground pools at Ringold’s. My recommendation to John Sr. is based on a couple of variables. If the pools are
