It was summer of 2015. My friend Amy and I went to Sarasota, Florida. It was beautiful there. We got off the plane, and the first thing I noticed was the heat. We went inside the giant airport where there was air conditioning. We ate Subway then went to get our luggage. We got our luggage then headed to the beach house. We got to our beach house, and we settled in. We got all of our luggage in the drawer. We took a nap, then Amy and I went outside to enjoy the bright sun. While we were outside we decided to go visit the neighbors. Amy and I talked for a while, then walked home. Amy’s mom said that we need to go to the store to get food. So, Amy and I got shoes on and met Amy’s mom in the car. On the way to the store Amy and I took lots of selfies. We had a blast then we got out of the car and went into the store. We got lots of food including things for the beach. We spent about an hour in the grocery store. While driving home we stopped to get ice-cream, which was amazing. Amy ended up dropping her ice-cream, but we went back and got her a new one. …show more content…
I made sure to put the popsicles in the freezer. After we finished putting all of the groceries we went outside. While outside I spotted an orange tree. I plucked one off and chucked it at Amy. Amy jumped up, got an orange, and was ready throw it at me. I quickly jumped behind the car to hide from her hitting me with the orange. Amy threw the orange, missing me. Instead, she hit the car window and it shattered. The busting car window caused me to laugh extremely hard. This memory is special to me because it was my first trip with my best friend. It was also very funny! My memory is special to memory and I hope I can get more memories like this one. Amy is my best friend in the world, and she is awesome. I hope we can make more memories together. I’m glad I can say we are friends and that we have this memory together. That’s why this is my favorite
the 1970s was not just an era of day glow trousers, lava lamps, and the emergence of punk rock. it was a traumatic economic decade of stagflation, a three day week and the return of unemployment. yet despite some headline grabbing crisis, it was a decade of rising living standards, the growth of credit and rising of property prices. consumers in the 70s paid less for television, cellular devices, and houses compared to what the average consumer pays today.
The social norm that I broke was related to pushing a grocery store. When someone goes shopping, they push the cart from the wider side and the side with a “handle.” I decided that I would push the cart from the other end, or the narrower end. People automatically grab a cart by the wider side or they grab the cart by the narrow side and pull it behind them. I thought this would be an interesting thing that I could do that would break the norm of grocery shopping.
In the summer of June 2014,I woke up at 4:30 Thursday morning and got ready, packed our suit cases in the trunk of my car. Then I woke up my 4 daughters and they got ready really quick. Funny how for school they drag to get up from their bed and get dressed. But that day they didn't even hesitate to get up because they knew we were on vacation. Me and my girls were really excited to take our first road trip to the beautiful beach of South Padre Island . Of course it is gonna be a long drive but we were excited because we will be sight seeing and singing along to the radio. My family lives about 35 minutes from the beach, in a little town not to far. So when we all got in the car ,I drove to a gas station to fill up my car with gas for our trip and to grab a strong cup of coffee with hazelnut creamers.
Then we went back to my aunt’s place and got ready to do some shopping for our new apartment. My aunt drove us to Walmart and then took us to Macy’s. I was amazed to see size of Walmart the first time. Also it
To begin with, I went to the mall with my friend, Nate, and we had a fun time. We went to F.Y.E so I could get Funko Pops, and I got twelve adorable figures. Then, we went to JC Pennys to get me two new pairs of jeans. Nate had to wait outside while I tried them on. After that, Nate and I went to Bath and Body Works to get perfume for me. I made him smell everything and we had headaches by the time we left. While my parents shopped, we walked around the mall for the rest of the time.
It was a bright and sunny friday, school had just got out not 2 hours prior, and me and my family decided to head to the beach to start the weekend off before heading back to school that following monday. On our way there I realized they were heading to Waimea Beach which is a good 30 minutes from my house. I love Waimea beach, and has to be one of my favorite I’ve ever been to.
My family and I left for Panama city, Florida in June of 2011. The trip was so fun; we sang songs and laughed hysterically during the whole ride there. When we arrived we were all ready for the beach warm sand and it’s cool waves. We stayed at the beach until about nine and everyone prepared for dinner. Once everyone settled in we sat and ate dinner, as always the dinner was great with my family. Everyone talked about any and everything; we even cracked jokes on each other.
My week was going great, Thanksgiving was only a few days away. I planned to go to the grocery store later this evening. I didn't think twice about going to the store at night since Trevor was locked away. I could finally let my hair down and enjoy myself. I was happy as a pig in cool mud. I had a chance to talk to Mark this morning while Shay went out and got us some breakfast. Now Johaly and I were on the way to do some furniture shopping. Most of the stores were having Black Friday sales earlier this year for some reason.
We took Jackie's uncle to the airport and went to see her aunt Brenda. For lunch we stopped at a little shack and got boudin balls, the first day was just trying new foods that I’d never heard of, but they were absolutely amazing! Jackie’s grandma made crawfish fettuccine for dinner and gripe gave us some homemade wine and we called it a day and went to bed
When it was midnight, we loaded the car and drove through Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama. We stopped at a few places to grab food or gas. It was a long time, but it was worth it when we finally reached our condo. It was beautiful! We went to the balcony to see the ocean and it was crystal clear. The beach wasn’t crowded either. We hurried to put on bathing suits and sunscreen. Then we walked downstairs to the beach. The sand was warm and felt great. My sister’s and I ran to the water and
Have you noticed the issues of how people in our culture think about and acquire food? For this assignment I have observed food acquisition at a grocery store. The data collection is consisted of two separate parts: fieldwork notes part one and brief interviews part two. The verbal questionnaire’s (mini- interviews) lasted from 2-5 minutes per person out of the ten individuals. The observations are broken down into blocks, meaning I observed the exterior and interior of the store. I under took the project at the Whole Foods Market located in Beverly Hills. I have shopped at whole foods numerous times, but decided that I should observe a location I have not been to. As a result my observations of the store do not get clouded by my opinions.
Before the start of my senior year in High School, I searched for and secured a job at Farm Fresh as a cashier. I felt excited to start and interact with customers! I had imagined that the first day would go without a hitch; how wrong I was.
When Amaru walks into work she finds a customer complaining about something that went wrong with a women groceries. Amaru looks over at whats going on, She see's that the person who is getting yelled at is one of her close friend's Rasta. She feels bad so she goes over and helps "well if you wouldn't have scanned it wrong we wouldn't have this problem, now would we?" the angry lady said yelling so loud that the entire store now had their eyes on rasta and the women "I'm sorry, I'm trying to fix it but the computer is going slow," Rasta said calmly. Rasta's voice was very low-key. As if he didn't hear the lady yelling. “See that's the problem with YOUR kind, you guys are always making excuses!" the angry said refec=fering to rasta and Amaru
I was able to take a step back from behind the counter and put myself in the customer’s shoes. I walked in the front doors and followed the crowd of people, which led me straight to a giant mass of confusion. I noticed that nobody knew where to stand in line, nobody knew who was next to order, and nobody knew where to pick up their food. I then decided it was time to come up with a new process. I figured if I interview customers out on the floor, who have already received their food and ask how their experience went and would they change anything. With this strategy in mind, that’s exactly what I did, and the results were unanimous.
After we arrived at the train station I played on my phone while my Mom and Lee’s Mom talked and Lee just read short stories to herself. After we got off the train we caught a bus to the ski resort. We rented the ski gears and then bought entry passes. When we came inside the restaurant we could smell the riveting smell of the pepperoni pizza and steaming hot hotdogs. I asked if I could get the pepperoni pizza and the hotdog. But, my Mom said “you only can have one.” So, I got the mouthwatering pizza.
