This can be proven by women's role in society, and the foundation of math and science. Most women in Ancient Greece had little to no direct influence in society, they were told to do what was asked of them. Most women in Ancient Greece did not learn how to read or write and had one important role which was to produce sons for their society. This influenced many countries before the 20th century such as England which then influenced the United States. During the 1900s or earlier women had no equal rights as men do and had the same exact job as women that were living during 700 B.C which was to produce babies, people had actually thought women were useless besides making babies. Euclid who was a mathematician opened a school of Geometry, he wrote a book of Elements which has 465 geometry propositions and was used all over the world until the 1900s. Aristotle and Theophrastus both also established the science of Botany which helped laid the foundation of Botany for many other important philosophers such as Pliny who also infuenced writers such as Rhabanus Magnentius Maurus in the 9th century to write books to further enhance the knowledge of Botany for many people. Coming from a long history, classes people take currently for example, biology, which teaches you many things such as Botany and it derived from the researched work from Theophrastus. Today much of what we learn are mostly credited to the philosophers in ancient Greece. These are a few reasons why Greece has had such a powerful social influence on the world
