The Ghost of Christmas Joy is a little boy with blonde hair, blue eyes, and wears T-shirt that has a picture of Santa Claus saying "Ho, Ho, Ho". He has red overalls going over his T-shirts, and he has red pants to match the overalls. He's always jolly and joyful! He is always sad-looking, and he is always crying to himself. The last ghost is The Ghost of Christmas Anger. He is a muscular man with red hair, red eyes, and he wears a
The Night Mare Before Christmas or Halloween movie. I think that it is a Christmas movie
Some people think The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas movie, some think it’s a Halloween movie. I think The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween movie because all the major characters are from Halloweentown. Such as Jack Skellington, Sally, Dr. Finklestein, Oogie Boogie, the Mayor, and Zero.
Again, last year's Hallmark Christmas movies definitely introduced me to some incredible talent, and Mélanie St-Pierre happens to be one of those new faces (at least, new to me). I first saw her as Samantha Cross in Christmas Encore, and after requesting an interview, I discovered so much more about her and her solid body of work. Yet again, I have the honor of sharing a lovely, vibrant, gifted woman with all of my readers!
“Scrooge crept towards it, trembling as he went; and following the finger, read upon the stone of the neglected grave his own name, EBENEZER SCROOGE.” (Dickens 45) This quote is from stave 4 when the Ghost of Christmas Future shows Scrooge what will happen if he does not change. In the story Scrooge will see four ghost, Marley and the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, As he sees each ghost, he changes more and more because of his fear of death. Scrooge fears death because of two reasons, he does not want the same fate as all the other ghost and he does not want to die alone.
The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come frightens Scrooge into submission and humbles him. Scrooge cannot change until he accepts the fact that he was wrong. By scaring and intimidating Scrooge, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come is able to accomplish that. Scrooge says to the spirit, “‘Ghost of the Future! I fear you more than any spectre I have seen’”(Stave IV, 2). In reaction to the spirits frightening demeanor, Scrooge becomes humble saying “‘I shall not leave its lesson, trust me.’” (Stave IV, 11). The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come’s lessons have the most impact on Scrooge because the spirit scares him into wanting to change. The ghost scares him because he represents the worst consequences. Finally, Scrooge learns he was wrong and begs the ghost, “‘Good Spirit,’” “‘Your nature intercedes for me, and pities me. Assure me that I yet may change these shadows you have shown me, by an altered life’”(Stave IV,
This first ghost is Jacob Marley, an old pal of Scrooge who has long passed away. Marley told him that if he does not change his ways, he will lead a horrible life in the future. Marley also tell Scrooge that three ghost will visit him telling him the same. This spirit being his friend does have an effect on him. True to his word, three other ghost visited him. The first ghost, the Ghost of Christmas Past, did not succeed in convincing him. However, the second ghost, the Ghost of Christmas Present, made him question what he could do to change his wrongs. It was not until the last ghost, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, convinced him to start considering to
The paragraph following this is all about the mood and tempo of the “Ghost of Christmas Past.” First off the ghost is really slow talking and wants scrooge to hear every word and follow him. Secondly, the mood is hyper and excited because the ghost is hyper and energetic you can tell this by the way he moves. Lastly, the movement is fast and exhilarating because they are flying ducking under trees.
The first ghost, the ghost of christmas past, was an angelic spirit. One of the main roles of angels from the bible was to protect people. The ghost of christmas past wants to protect Scrooge by showing him past christmases in order to prove to him how important it was to change his ways. This is confirmed on pg 46. It says, ‘“Spirit!” said Scrooge, “show me no more! Conduct me home. Why do you delight to torture me?”’ This means that Scrooge has realised his past shaped how he is now and doesn’t want to face it. The ghost also showed how Scrooge became a cold-hearted miser. Another role of angels according to the bible is the messenger of god. The ghost of christmas present was sent to send him the message to change his ways. The second spirit, the ghost of christmas present, was, according to pg 54 of the novel, genial and had a joyful air. The ghost of christmas present looks jolly and genial because all he showed scrooge were happy events (except when Scrooge asked if tiny tim will live). The third ghost, the ghost of christmas yet-to-come, was shrouded in a deep, black garment. The third spirit also looks like a grim reaper because the job of a grim reaper is to kill people. This is exactly what will happen to Scrooge if he does not change. This is the most scary of the three spirits because this represents Scrooge's bleak future. Scrooge is in denial
One Of these were to do with his love life. And For he lets her go. He regrets doing this, but there was nothing he could do. The Second Spirit that comes to him is the Present Ghost. The Present ghost shows him all of the opportunities he will miss out on next christmas day.
In stave two the ghost christmas past and he remembers how cheerful he was with family and friends. “‘ Good Heaven!” said Scrooge, clasping his hands together, as he looked about him. “I was bred in this place. I was an boy here!”The spirit glazed upon him mildly….floating in the air, each one connected with a thousand thoughts, and hope, and joys, and care long, long forgotten! “Your lip is trembling,” said the ghost. “And what is that upon your cheek?”Scrooge muttered, with an unusual catching in his voice, that it was a pimple…. “You recollect the why?”inquired the spirit “Remember it!” cried Scrooge with fervor, “I could walk it blindfold.” Scrooge knew and named them every one. Why was he rejoiced beyond to see them? Why did his cold eyes glisten, and his heart leap up as they went past”(33)? Stave three the ghost of christmas present Scrooge is sympathetic for tiny tim. “‘Spirit,” said Scrooge, with an interest he had never felt before, “tell me if Tiny Tim will live.” “I see a vacant seat,” replied the ghost, “in the poor chimney-corner, and a crutch without an owner, carefully preserved…. “No, no,” said Scrooge. “Oh, no, kind spirit! Say he will be spared.’” And in the fourth stave the ghost of christmas yet to come visit him and he feels compassionate for Bob Cratchit because he could have helped him. “‘ My little, little child!” cried Bob. “My little child!” He broke down all at once….Bob told them

By this part in the novel, dickens introduced the next Ghost, the Ghost of Christmas Present. The ghost of Christmas present takes Scrooge to his clerk`s house. Here he witness the unfortunate conditions of their Christmas, however, it doesn’t appear to be so unfortunate at all; although Scrooge notices how Tiny Tim is crippled and at deaths door. He is moved by this sight, and that of his clerk’s family. He had never imagined their lives to be like this before; however it’s astonishing to him, that although extremely poor, they are full of joy and happiness. He notices the simple pleasures of family life as well. Furthermore something strange begins to happen, he sympathises with Tiny Time, who Scrooge understands will die without financial help. Dickens has showed us how scrooge is changing and learning to sympathise, a “skill” he previously didn’t have. "Spirit," said Scrooge, with an interest he had never felt before, "tell me if Tiny Tim will live." ' Dickens once more showing us scrooges new found affections. Additionally when the Spirit predicts “an empty chair if things do not change”, Scrooge is quite

Christmas is the most popular festival globally. Christmas is an occasion that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. The origin and the history of Christmas have pagan roots. It is said that the origin of Christmas began 2000 years ago when the birth of Christ took place. History mentions that Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary in a manger and it is said that a star guided the three Magi who traveled from the East to Jerusalem to shower gifts on baby Jesus. It is believed that Jesus was the Son of God and he came to the world to spread the message of God. The New Testament is unable to provide any information regarding the date or year related to the birth of Jesus Christ. St. Mark, which is an ancient
It is curious that as children, humans have the ability to observe and remember details of specific situations and instances yet lack the ability to describe them. Truman Capote, as a grown man, took advantage of his vivid memories and composed the short work, "A Christmas Memory." The story begins in late November, a month symbolic of all the years gone by that Capote could remember beginning preparations for Christmas fruitcakes.
