Understanding college policies and procedures is critical for success at Delaware Technical Community College. The reason it is so critical is because every college has its own policies, and without knowing those policies it is impossible to follow them. One policy for example that would be critical to success is understanding the grading policy. Delaware Technical Community College does not have D on the grading scale, if someone didn't look further into that policy they may not know that they are actually in bad academic standing and are failing a class. Another important procedure that is critical to success is understanding the appeals process. While academic appeals are often not a good thing, it is important to know about in case

Two specific groups that I identify with as part of my decision to attend Columbia Southern University is based on my family and work. As an individual my choice to attend is based on my own desire to achieve a higher education in order to obtain a job that is satisfactory to the life and goals I have mapped out for myself. By having a job for which I have specifically attended school for, it will allow me to get and sustain a career conducive to my own happiness and prosperity. While my own individual choice to attend school is great, I have a family that encouraged me greatly in this decision. Both my mother and father, between the two, have a Master’s degree in criminal justice, and a Bachelor's degree in paramedic studies. Naturally

I am currently interning at Carver College and Career Academy, which was formerly called Chesterfield Community High School and was also a school for only African Americans. Carver College and Career Academy is now an alternative school for all races. Students get sent to an alternative school when they’re having educational, behavioral, and/or medical problems that will distract them from receiving an education from a traditional school.
The University of North Texas is one of the largest universities in Texas. The university has around 35,000 students that commute or live on campus. As the result of this, the university doesn’t have enough parking spots for students and staff member due new construction of buildings for classes and Greek Life. This causes students and staff members to wander around through different parking lots to find a parking spots. There have been some cases were students looked for parking spot for 30 minute to 1 hour. This causes students to be late to classes and their jobs. At the University of North Texas, parking spot after 8:40 AM parking spot is hard to find. This means that people’s that have 11:00 AM class and commute, they have to leave their
The situation above is something many college students, especially those here at the University of California Riverside (UCR), are well aware of. Although there are tons of parking lots here at UCR, students still struggle to find a place to park. One of the main reasons is because of the increase in students attending across campuses all over the US. According to the National Center for Educational Statistic, “Between 2001 and 2011, enrollment increased 32 percent, from 15.9 million to 21.0 million.” As a result, the amount of parking spaces here at UCR could not compensate for the growing number of students. A lack of parking spaces can cause many detriments toward the students as it can hinder with their class schedules, cause them to either be late or miss a class, and overall affect their grades. If UCR implement a shuttle bus system for the empty parking lots that are far away from the school, students would be less stress about the parking

The purpose of this paper is to inform incoming freshman about the resources that have been put in place on campus at the University of Kentucky, specifically the transportation resources. Being a freshman in college right now, I personally didn’t know some of the free assets that are available for everyone, had i known before, i would have utilized them more. UK is a very large campus; according to usnews.com, the campus is 814 acres in total and has an undergraduate enrollment of 22,621 students. Being this large of a campus, it is inevitable for students to have to travel far distances to get to class or to just get where they need to go in general. This is where transportation facilities become very important, because it may not always
