Decent Essays

George Washington

Role: Commander
Positions: Commander and then the first President.
Education: His education was far lower than any of the founding fathers.
Family: George Washington married Martha Washington. He had 8 siblings, 2 sisters and 6 brothers.
Quote: “If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.” This quote means to me that we all have a freedom of speech and if that is taken away then we will be dumb and silent. I chose this quote because it plays a big role in our lives today.
Adjectives: Strong, brave, and smart. George Washington was the first president of the United States, but before that he was a Commander in the Revolutionary War. George Washington was one of nine brothers and sisters. He had two sisters and six brothers. This caused his education to be far less than any of the other commanders and less than the other Founding Fathers. Despite his lack of education, Washington still led the crossing of the Delaware River. This gave us a major advantage over the British, as well as killing 1,400 British soldiers. Without George Washington we never would have crossed the Delaware River and gained a major advantage over the British. He was impactful because he took an important part of the Revolutionary War that helped us win it. He was also unanimously elected to be president twice where he then led us to greatness.

Abigail Adams

Role: The closest advisor and wife of John Adams.
